Mike mentioned the hiring of WPP media. What are they going to do?

WPP is one of world’s largest media and advertising holding companies. They will create a media strategy and plan to support afrezza marketing strategy and then negotiate the rates and platforms media is bought on for mnkd. Mike mentioned national cable and local stations so likely will start also seeing on mainstream broadcast channels like NBC local stations in markets they are focused on supporting.

At 5:08 into the cc, Mike talks about the Technosphere pipeline.
Mike says 3 products with UTHR and RLS. Then he lists :
1. a triptan - migraine 2. 5HT3 inhibitor - CINV 3. tobramycin - CF 4. undisclosed
"Website will be updated shortly."

While I do like this step in getting the word out, I’d prefer a different commercial and would vote to spend money on that. The current one may be award winning but doesn’t address the differentiating factors about Afrezza like less hypos and better glucose control. It actually promotes it as a niche product, not a lifestyle change product. They might be employing the best media company on the planet, but their effectiveness may be limited by the tools they are given to succeed. To me, the commercial doesn’t align with what sales reps will be communicating to docs and a consistent message to all targets seems important at this juncture.

I agree and you could likely address your notes w simply revising the narrative for the script voice over. The real issue may be the time and cost of getting fda approval for revised script.

Definitely would require some cash and time to modify or create new, but the earlier that investment is made, the more it will pay off IMO. If not now, when? Can it be done concurrently?
I realize we have what we have, so press on I guess, not loving it tho.

If simply a change to voice script then actual revisions very simple and inexpensive for most part. Big issue is time and expense of fda approval. Imho.

According to Mike they will try to squeeze the current commercial (ROI). Takes 6 months to get new commercial ready and costs $1M.

I slept thru the CC due to the six hour time difference, but wanted to thank you all for providing a really good synopsis for me to get up to speed on what transpired! I guess the only question I have is, was there any discussion about authorizing more shares in the call? I'm assume not, since I saw no discussion regarding that. Aloha.

Thanks for that update, I didn’t quite catch the timeline and money details during the CC and haven’t listened again yet. What about starting on something new now that addresses the true advantages of Afrezza? Sounds like a well spent million to me. Of course this is based upon the fact that FDA will approve a commercial that promotes details from the STAT study...can that be done? Is the real hurdle that we don’t have FDA recognized data to advertise? I really liked reading the 2nd Vdex white paper! How do we leverage that or more to the point, can we leverage that in some way?
