Sadly, I agree. The corruption, manipulation and other shenanigans, especially with this little stock, are all awful. Many of the longs here are under water and will remain there until the pps rises a lot more. Afrezza is a fantastic product, the best of the breed, in a $6B market of mealtime insulin. Further, Technosphere is a great technology to "weaponize" many other drugs. But management has not shown the same strength as Afrezza and the underlying technology. For example, many of the experts believe that the there were better ways to raise money than the dilution that we suffered over the holidays. Will the technical merit of Afrezza and Technosphere prevail in the end? That's the question. I am betting that it will. But I am an idealist. A superior technology does not always win in the marketplace. Remember Netscape? Microsoft bought it, killed it and replaced it with Explorer. Same for Word Perfect, which in 1998 was a superior word processor than Word is today, 20+ years later. The anecdotal evidence of the benefits of Afrezza for type 1's is nothing short of amazing. Tons of life-changing stories and no evidence of adverse effects, side effect, etc. Let's all hope that the technical merit wins in the case of MNKD.

Well in my book the shorts have the right to short (it is a bit strange but perfectly legal), they made their play and now some of them are stuck (in all fairness some likely are still in the green area, so they sold higher than the current price.. for now)
The only thing I fear (and yes, I keep rambling about) is a further dilution! The management took away 20% of my future wealth before Christmas just like that!
There were options (for example I bet Deerfield would have stood ready and eager to make another 40mil loan with guarantees over the next 5years..) anything to keep the value of the company!
It was really scary how fast they could take away this piece of the cake.. and still no explanation for it!
I would love any mechanism to prevent anything like that in the future!

I keep on wondering, what a company with a significant share in that market should be worth!?
Is the old first formula income x20 = company value still good for estimates? (Seems kinda low)
Either way, if Mannkind get a significant part of that market, the current share price seems about a factor 40 too low (just to give any estimate)
Years ago I said to myself 25$/share is when I sell some .. now I guess I say its 100$ (split 1/5, lots of dilutions, but new revenues)
I am happy with that number.. it looks very pleasing to the eye
