Or as we like to say in the line of business I'm in "Surprise and Delight our customers" but this is taking it to another level. I'm so impressed with this that it's hard to put adequate words to it.

Update: I sent Mike an email earlier this morning and he responded in about 3 minutes with, "Thanks, I'm on it!" About 20 minutes later he let me know a rep is confirmed to visit the office today. For those who doubt Mike's diligence, take this as more evidence that he is totally committed to Afrezza, MannKind, and patients. For those who know that already, rest easy - our captain has the conn. dtrain, now that Mike is going to take care of samples and the physician office, your friend will do very well, if she listens to this physician who uses Afrezza, on how to dose.

I didn't know much about diabetes until she and her husband were over for dinner...and she had an "episode" (low). By the Grace of God one of the paramedics who arrived was the local diabetes expert and was able to take appropriate immediate action, preventing a trip to the ER. Scary! As I was taking action, my friend was doing the same...and contacted her diabetes "coach" who has Afrezza samples for her. So, she's motivated to try Afrezza...and will do so before her next Endo appt in 2 months (hopefully that appt gets bumped-up after the Afrezza rep gets in the office!). All good!

Based on the condition of the company when Mike came on board, compared to current status, I’d say busy is an extreme understatement. Running a small business today drives me nuts most days. I can’t imagine the magnitude of the undertaking he’s chosen to pursue. For those of you in medicine you get it. For those business owners, you get it too. Not a walk in the park in the year 2019. Secondly, not knowing Mikes age, I’m guessing he’s with me in that we are the last generation not directly thrown into the wolves of technology and social media growing up. If your 15, 25, or 35 it’s in your blood. Otherwise it’s not your first choice to endulge in over a good Napa wine. The fact that Mike cares enough to follow this pro board speaks volumes to me, let alone respond. Let’s face it, there’s legit honest people here, with a sincere heart and a purpose like sport, the rock star, peppy, boca, (and more, too many to list sorry),, and there’s some with a lot less integrity and goodwill with a different purpose. I followed this board a long time before a single entry. The fact that Mike cares enough and takes the time to participate here tells me that anyone doubting him better check out now. Your odds are better in Vegas. I hope I have the pleasure to meet Mike someday and say thanks for busting your ass and defeating the corrupt naysayers of the world ( you know who you are on this board and beyond). It’s nice to see a real person on a real mission to better mankind. Literally and figuratively. Thanks for coming on board and saving this wonderful, life changing drug, Mike. The changing circumstances of healthcare care in this country are concerning to say the least, but you got this Mike and we are behind you. Too bad there’s not more of ya! Keep it going Mike, your gonna win and so are the diabetics.

I had a similar experience with Mike a few months ago when I was trying to facilitate a meeting with some doctors at a local hospital and the rep was not interested. Mike stepped right in and took care of it personally. This man is the real thing.
