Sure gathers a decent amount of interest in a run of the mill 24hr. period.....so when you read comments like "I doubt a few posters can really make a difference on this stocks s/p" between here and stocktwits etc. think of average daily volume and think again. Think about certain posters/members that have chimed in with comments from time to time and why they spend time daily reading/surveying the board and putting in their two cents, etc. Sure there are members that have come and gone over the years but it's the amount/number of "guests" so to speak that stop by on a daily basis that fascinates me....today was a pretty avg. day, unless of course there are a lot of people that were checking in on scripts Users Online in the Last 24 Hours 5 Staff, 359 Members, 1,136 Guests.

Since it is the case that MNKD Proboards does interest people, here is part of the MNKD story. Afrezza, as can be seen working on Continuous Glucose Monitors is the best "rapid acting or mealtime insulin" on the market. We know this for a fact, because afrezza users post their continuous glucose monitors images and we see mealtime blood glucose control that can be achieved. we have eyes and we can see, and we have ears and we can hear. Afrezza users say they feel better.
Market Leaders do not want another club member. There IS an Insulin Cartel and Private Health Insurance revenue streams that are protecting themselves in print and insurance coverage denial.
If however you have a loved one requiring mealtime insulin, it may matter to you.
MNKD seems to be a microcasm of the chit show I watch in society everyday.
Ex. There is science of global climate change/ no there isn't. Ex. Other sources of energy, nope, can not do, pipelines and all. Ex. There are continuous glucose monitors showing better mealtime blood glucose control/ ah, well the label doesn't say it is better so we do not have to cover the drug with health insurance.
And we will fight for the right to place the insulin under your skin and tell you it is better for you.
The hell with the way you want to live your life. We the old white men of the world will tell you how much money we can make on you.
It is a war between good and evil? right and wrong? Paper and the souls of men? My mental health and my wallet? Part of the chit show we were sent here to witness? Heh. Gotta love Mannkind.

Only took 1 post to derail the thread. Possible new record.
Do we know how many individual investors own stock in mnkd? What % of stock do they control?
I don't know if message boards influence individual investors, but I highly doubt they influence institutional investors.

Yes, I do own MNKD shares ... even though E*Trade seems to be stifling me at every turn. I try to transfer in cash to do a trade on Friday ... and they tell me that it will be available for trade on Wednesday. What the heck?!!! So after the trading day closed, I transfer in a smaller amount directly to the account I most want to buy shares for. Smaller amount meaning up to the current equity in that account. Order is in ... and hopefully it'll be completed at market open on Monday. E*Trade sucks !!! Too much effort to convert to Fidelity (Boca) and this will be my last trading week before the run up in share price. I have too many shares as is. But, that's mytakeonit

Call them or stop in their office and they will handle everything. Also ask for your first 100 trades free (no commission).

The chart says it all doesn’t it? It’s beautiful. Thanks Have you taken that linear line and projected when we'll reach the $9M or so mark that would be required for profitability based on Afrezza revenue? Have you noticed the lack of growth in NRx? When you say it says it all, what is it saying to you? To me it says that there are significant problems getting new docs to start using Afrezza though we have some small base that are regularly using Afrezza, and if the size of that base remains stagnant as it has been recently it will be close to 3 years before Afrezza alone would result in cash flow positive.

Thanks boca, but after next week I'll "probably" end my trading. How many shares does my daughter need anyway? Ha! But, if Fidelity gives out free lobsters ... then I'll think about it.
But, that's mytakeonit

New shares transfer to cash in a few days.

Saying there are significant problems getting new docs to start using Afrezza is one way to look at things. The good news is we know the root cause which is the current SOCs. The other way to look at things is the renewal rate afrezza is now seeing versus what they were seeing four years ago. They are now seeing great numbers and unlike other diabetes meds like the SGLT2s and GLP1s no significant complications for the T2s. With early use it does provide the potential to stop the progression and I think this will be one of the "lost studies" Dr. Kendall re-introduces for ADA2019. Afrezza will continue to grow slowly but surely until Dr. Kendall has a breakthrough on the SOCs. Then its a moon shot in motion.

"The good news is we know the root cause which is the current SOCs." The bad news is the only way to change this is with a clinical study that mnkd can't afford and doesn't seem to be interested in. (IMHO)
