This can only mean the deal is done... Would they issue these without a signing? If signed, the deal needs to be filed by Friday, right?

The deal is done, and they awarded the officers shares. The details of the deal won't be fully disclosed until the next earnings report in the 10Q.

I'm aware of what they wrote in the last 10-Q 5.OTHER ITEMS, having posted it a few times. But SEC requires filing within 4 days of a finalized agreement. It doesn't make sense to issue the stock awards to all the officers until the deal is actually signed. This could be a PR move, but the officers' contracts are very specific about this. I suppose it doesn't matter, as I've pretty much resigned myself to waiting until the November filing & cc (the usual 6 weeks after EOQ).
