Saw this on the other board:
US patent application 20080057004
[0555] Following pulmonary insufflation, Albulin-G was absorbed rapidly with peak serum concentrations occurring an average of 2.4 to 2.8 hours after dosing. Clearance (CL/F) ranged between 71 and 100 mL/h/kg. The mean elimination half-life ranged between 9 and 14 hours. The volume of distribution was large (averaging 922 to 1626 mL/kg).
Conclusions: Albulin-G entered the circulation following pulmonary insufflation. Bioavailability following pulmonary insufflation was 7, 8 and 10% (relative to IV dosing) for different formulations. C.sub.max occurred 2.4 to 2.8 hours after pulmonary insufflation. The elimination half-life was 6 hours after IV injection and 9 to 14 hours after pulmonary insufflation

On a serious note it would be great if MNKD found the Holy Grail and could find a way to dose that type of insulin in a Technosphere. That is Al Mann's dream and would be a winner for the diabetic. Pehaps we are closer then we know to acheiving that goal. Al Mann slipped up at the CC on August 11th about something that had not been disclosed yet. The above reference patent is not a MannKind Patent but I am sure that MannKind and Sanofi would find a way to either licence it buy it if they have already haven't found a way without doing that by now. It would be a neat way of delivering Lantus for the Diabetic.

Al Mann slipped up at the CC on August 11th about something that had not been disclosed yet. I will never be convinced that someone w/ a 172 IQ actually slipped up, even at his advanced age. I, on the other hand, slip up daily.
