I'm starting to find more Afrezza literature on the web:
I cannot post this link, since it automatically opens/downloads a PowerPoint, but if you google "Afrezza Inhaled Insulin - Indiana Pharmacists Alliance" and look for the "ppt" by indianapharmacists.org. The PP includes a nice color step-by-step instruction sheet for loading and unloading Afrezza cartridges, some trial information, including at least one graph.
Also, Diabetes In Control, the online diabetes educator that Al Mann granted an exclusive interview with, has a link to additional graphs related to Afrezza's performance. The link is at:www.diabetesincontrol.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16895&Itemid=59 You can find additional links from DIC at: www.diabetesincontrol.com/articles/56-/16634-prescribing-information-and-the-medication-guide-for-afrezza
Many, many sites have the monograph, but most appear to be waiting for additional information: As an example, Medscape has the monograph posted for Afrezza, but the Patient Handout button does not yet link to the literature: reference.medscape.com/drug/afrezza-insulin-inhaled-342711#0 I post this to illustrate that many sites still appear to be waiting for more information.
HOWEVER, in my search I found the gem of them all: from the U.S. NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE, is by far one of the nicest resource I've located, with a complete sectional list on Afrezza, each of which is expandable: Dosages, label photos, step-by-step instructions, clinical studies... pretty much everything.
dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=fdfd1440-16da-4db3-9587-b28c6406c085&CFID=114013&CFTOKEN=4790c44e1b5c993e-3EF3D9A0-94D2-267C-446FB2C52782D3DA
An excellent resource.

mnholdem, just FYI, I wasn't able to find the PPT file you described from your description of how to find it. Can you post a link to the precise page it is on, and the text to search for on that page?

If I read the National Library of Medicine's tract, it appears that, should a person need a dosage of 12 or 20 units, they would need to carry around 2 cartridges??? Seems a bit cumbersome. Of course, it is still easier than injecting insulin, but still awkward.

Got it, just click on anything you want to know, it should show up. Finally, I had to find it out of Facebook to get it to go. You can get rid of the other posts as everything is in this one. Sorry

rick, why don't you clean up your own posts? You have 60 minutes from the time you posted.

Google "Afrezza package insert" and you should find the [ppt] Afrezza(r) Inhaled Insulin - Indiana Pharmacists Alliance". I cannot create the link because clicking on it opens the PowerPoint presentation of the patient guide.

Yep. It's likely pretty basic compared to what pharmacies will get from Sanofi, but at least it's out there educating. Folks who don't have a PowerPoint reader may not be able to open it, though. I didn't think of that 'til now.
