We should get a short interest update in a couple of days I think? Any predictions where that number has gone since last update? August 11th is the next date for the period ending July 31, 2015
August 25th for the period ending August 14, 2015.

August 25th for the period ending August 14, 2015.
Stock closing price on July 28th was $4.82 so it will be difficult to what caused the fall to the low $4.00 range until August 25th, and then only if the price remains around the same. I don't think the Aug 11th report will provide many insights.

the huge short interest gives a whole new meaning to the term "Manncrush" *sigh*. (Funny, but it hurts) kball - like the new avatar. Well, I mean, in a bittersweet sorta way. Right there with ya.

Today's short report number is 116,059,587 It will be interesting to see what the next couple of weeks brings regarding the shorts. Removing the 9 Million B of A shares will be helpful.

Today's short report number is 116,059,587 Shouldn't surprise anyone....this "lid" will continue to take increased consistent "borrowed" selling pressure. Btw, Jan '16 5.0 Call 0.55 0.63 0.57 0.02 2,342 139,458

Im sorry but I struggle to understand this, with 116 million short, and the market around 4 what are the shorts waiting for, these shares have been borrowed and the market has been flooded and the stock has with stood a huge pounding. If I had shorted at 5 to 6 then I would have been out by now and looking to get back in not waiting for another decrease.. So where do these shorts make money and if they get the market to drop another 50 cents it will only present another buying opportunity. Its not like Mannkind is failing or Sanofi have pulled the plug. I would not want to be short at this moment in time. But hey what do I know..

Traders who are short cannot collectively just buy 100 million shares at today's price. Those large buy orders would drive the price way up, unless...there was really bad news that caused a massive sell off. At this point there is not much that can happen except that Afrezza fails to gain acceptance in the market, and it becomes obvious that MNKD will never be profitable. IMO

Didn't want to start a thread just for this so figured this was as good as any... Is it me or is MNKD the only green on the screen? I like to think of it as the "true flight to safety"... OK better put on my hazmat attire now as I get bombarded lol...but we do stand out like a gem today

My wild guess is that we are not dealing with the "garden variety" shorts out to make a buck by any means possible. Instead we are dealing with folks who are interested in the total destruction Afrezza and MNKD Now who might that be?.

I look at it this way, the market is selling off to gain Capitol, which includes the largest holders in MNKD, they just happen to be shorts, so we're up.... ? Dying to know the result of the conversions. ⏳

Dying to know the result of the conversions. ⏳ Sounds like a wild guess to me, as stock goes to the the top and then pulls back, this is what has happened to the shorts and today the stock has flowed back. But there has not been any mega activity to drive it, again when we look at the number of shorts on 2 week picture, this does not mean there has been inactivity it just means that shorts are still in the game and that means there are `116,000 million stock borrowed and that may well be the limits at this point. I am sure that small retail operators will have to pull back, or sell off other holdings to cover. I really do not care, I just feel that the current negative run has run out of steam and as the stock slow rises more and more will start to cover.
