Again, if you are using an alias that is not your original user name (ie the name that also doubles as your yahoo email)then you will get the fail message. If you try to post using your first and original user name, you'll find it will work. When you post, there is a drop down menu "identity." Click on that to use your original user name. I have found that it works for all of my accounts when I use my original name. If not, then create a new email account. Millionaire, I am using the same name that I've used for several years. I've also created a new account and that doesn't work either. I will try my husband's computer next time I see him (I am out of town now) and open an account with it to see if that works. I still think there's something fishy going on. That is strange. My old accounts work as long as I use the original log in name and the new accounts I have created work as well. I'd say try another browser but that shouldn't be an issue as it's a yahoo server that gives permission to post. Maybe it is a sign to short YHOO? HA!

Funny, I read this thread last night and I can't post today on YMB! Not kidding. I notice more and more longs over here now.

A fun parlor game might be to guess which YMB poster gets blocked from posting there next. I will go with kittybearrn.
Seems all the other good posters there are gone over the last week, leaving mainly worthless reading.
I actually miss the good posters about which there were 20

I feel so left out - I'm not blocked. But then, I haven't posted there in a while. I do have a fan who perennially gives me a thumbs down, so let's see how long until I get a thumbs down on my test message.

I think YAHOO has fixed the problem as I am now able to use my aliases again.

I think YAHOO has fixed the problem as I am now able to use my aliases again. SO now that you're out was your alias here too optimistic? I suppose you also could have started as one (millionaire) and now you're not. (I'm still hanging tough with a loss of 30%)

Neat little trick discovered on YMB: on the yahoo UK message boards, aliases aren't permitted, your signup user ID is your only userID that shows.
You can cross reference names to those that exist on the U.S. Message boards, which someone did for a guy named "Bobby". Not to my suprise, here's how many clones this one person is posting as over there:
" Here is the list of bobby's aliases that I found.....There may be more..... 1.) alfred_e_mann 2.) rick_horvath53 3.) pumper.busted 4.) coolrob49 5.) bob_barker_priceisright 6.) endo_guy63 7.) hi#$%$_face 8.) whet_phartss 9.) saggy_wrinkled_balls 10.) tony_mao_kungpowchicken 11.) kevinmlk 12.) goodbraim007 13.) goodbrainn007 14.) mann.ontop1 15.) mann.ontopp2 16.) mannon.top2 17.) judy_carroll_does_&&@!"
I don't have an account over there to test it, but amusing nonetheless.

Interesting, as is the fact that every single post I put up today on YMB to expose Kim (aka kevinmik) was deleted within 2 minutes. Late this afternoon, I was emailed with (what was supposed to be) an intimidating threat to back off. It sounded similar to an email threat I got back when I was posting how Medtronics Officers & Directors had their excise taxes (imposed by the U.S. to discourage inversion) paid for by the company while MDT shareholders had to pay excise taxes on their shares. That threat actually worried me, since Medtronic HQ is only a few miles from my home. The one today...nah. Fluff.
It's always interesting at YaZoo. Today was better than most (chuckle). Of course, if you find me floating in a river, tomorrow I take it all back...

If you're implying that some human being at Yahoo is consciously making a decision to delete your posts because they're attempting to suppress something you're trying to say, then I give that about the chance of snowball in Hell of being true. AFAIK, the YMB boards are 100% automated; I have no indication that ANYONE at Yahoo is monitoring them. When posts disappear, that is (in my experience) always due to a robo-censor that looks for links and banned words. Immediately after posting, the post will appear to be there for a few seconds, then just *poof*, it's gone. If you really feel something other than that is going on, you'll have to convince me...

The human involved is probably an active programmer constantly improving the meta-data and rules based engine and of course not reading direct content albeit it can give that appearance. These learning engines are used a lot nowadays and can parse and remember vast amounts of information. It goes far beyond parsing and looking for keywords to trigger a delete, these engines read sentences and imply context even from multiple posts. Not saying YMB is doing that, but they have those tools from their search engines and it does seem like contextual deletion is occurring beyond simple keyword search.

The text simply read, "Drop this shit. Now. There will be no 2nd chance for you." The previous "advice" that associated with my posts about Medtronic was similar except it used "...or else." I really don't care whether people believe me or not.
I regularly get inquiries from board members. In fact I have made quite a few friends that way, whom I correspond with fairly regularly. Of course, once you respond via email, the other party has your email address, so I am usually a little bit selective. I have a blind account anyway, so it doesn't really matter. Only two people on ProBoards/Yazoo know my real name and where I work and live.
I can appreciate what BD said about auto-filters. Perhaps Yazoo has simply changed the parameters for its filters. Links have almost always resulted in messages not being posted and most posters have figured out how the change the address to get around the auto-filter feature. In the past, however, if anybody used an "offensive" or forbidden word on the YMB filter list, YMB would still post the message and simply replace the offending word(s) with @#$% symbols.
I was not able to find a single offensive word yesterday, yet reply after reply to a single poster was repeatedly blocked/deleted after I posted it. The only word that was different from any of my other posts was my use of that poster's username.
Well, this whole issue is a penny dropping as far as I'm concerned. I really couldn't care less, and probably shouldn't have even written about it. I did test the U.K. site and found what mot2 wrote to be true. I even remember one Saturday when the U.S. Yahoo board briefly displayed the account names with avatar boxes next to all the posts - just like the YMB-U.K. is configured.
Normally I ignore 99.9% of the bashers and fake longs on YaZoo. I even refrained from responding to the jerk who posted on Memorial Day that our fallen soldiers are all "murderers". That really got to me, but what can you do? Heck, I remember the flack I took back when I first posted the "concept" of paid bashers and pumpers whose job is to spread FUD on social media. I was proclaimed to be a lunatic and conspiracy theorist. Hilarious. Seems these days, however, people have finally accepted that such things actually happen and there are, in fact, paid professionals whose job it is to sway sentiment though social media. I thought I was being blocked at YMB simply because something a basher had discovered that will cause posts to be deleted - like flagging me repeatedly for "Abuse" or something that would cause the post to be pulled.
Post and let post - no matter how offensive - that usually has been my style. I admit that blatant assassination of character does get to me, though. I guess I'm only human in that regard.
So, once again, I'll simply drop the subject. There is no corruption. All is fine.
Good fortune all.
