I was a little more "productive"...I bought shares and Jan '17 $3 Calls. I figured we were close to the bottom, even thought GS' $3 price target might happen. Some times you have to close your eyes and press the order button!

Believe he was referencing the previous post regarding Bobby Knight lol....we're just going to assess him a technical foul for letting the "other side" get to him

My guess is the second Product is an oncology product. isn't it obvious from the two "*" that the first two are selected for 2015? LOL

Do you find it weird that Matt said lines 2 and 3 will be running shortly but that he didn't know if they were already? I find it odd that he wouldn't know such a big milestone could have already occurred. Just a curious speculation. Any ideas?

I don't think the commencement of production from lines two and three is front-burner material currently, although I thought it clear he was trying to downplay it, saying he hadn't even checked - one would think he would have gotten an email from his plant manager. Still, a minor point, unless we hear differently by middle of July.

Seems few things more important and easily checked by top management

I find it odd that he wouldn't know such a big milestone could have already occurred. Just a curious speculation. Any ideas? I found it odd too, since he said this three weeks ago.... "So a few little minor updates here and there, mostly because people ask about this all the time. We are increasing the manufacturing capacity. We started out with just one line in operation and we now have three lines in operation and the 12-unit cartridge which was recently approved will be the first thing that’s coming off the two new lines. So those would be, starting to be produced shortly if they aren’t today, I’m not sure if they are today but they aren’t, they will be any moment, and Sanofi says they will launch them into the market next quarter." seekingalpha.com/article/3234406-mannkinds-mnkd-management-presents-at-jefferies-global-healthcare-conference-transcript?find=lines&all=false

My theory: current demand doesn't require lines 2/3 so they will be started up when demand curves require them. It's fair to assume that they are looking at managing inventory at this point and they see the curves towards a end of June startup. If they don't see a substantial uptick in these next few weeks you may hear of this slipping, but I suspect they are privy to the sensitivity and probably will "start them up" but hold them back

I'm wondering if this is a trigger for a milestone payment? Somehow, I'm imagining it is. $50M would be a nice addition to the balance sheet- especially with the convertible note payment looming. I don't think this has been explicitly identified as a milestone, but it seems plausible to me, anyway. Eventually, Danbury will need to be expanded or another plant will need to be constructed. I'd be surprised if planning for those contingencies has not already begun. It takes time to build and certify production facilities. Certainly, with global sales envisioned, the companies have contemplated whether a facility would be built in Europe and/or the Asia/Pacific region. (But then I'm getting ahead of myself, here).
