mannmade --- the evil clowns of Wall Street have permeated our media and even our consciousness... best argument for Bernie Sanders (if you like that) or against the parasitic Wall Street culture (if you prefer something else) ..... don't know about what you studied in college but one of my courses was 19c Russian literature, where the extravagance of the Ruling Class went so far over the top, that the little people rose up to defeat them. I am not communist, not even close to that, but I'll tell you, it's open season on a$$holes like AF, Cramer, Krap, Shrek... just put them out of business before something worse occurs, seriously

My graduate degree is a JD. I worked for 30 years in Television and Media. Agree on Russia but current day Americans seem to have a much bigger tolerance for this stuff. Witness who caused the recent 2008 Great Recession. As someone else pointed out on this board recently no one of any consequence was even prosecuted and the regulations did not change much in the investment banking side. Nor was there any national debate or mass protest by American Citizens over this. Perhaps the reason for Americans having seemly endless tolerance for this kind of stuff is that most still believe in the American Dream and that even a poorer person can rise to great wealth and success in our system, otherwise why would we all be here... Yes, AF, Cramer, "Krap, Shrek et al are the forces of darkness otherwise known as Bears and Shorts, whom I call the forces of BS for several reason I think anyone could rightly guess... GLTY and to ALL LONGS!

mannmade My eldest brother is a political science under grad turned lawyer with 30+ years experience and that's not the only brother who's a lawyer. What amazes me is that when you file a tip with SEC, to go to full blown "whistleblower" status, you need a securities lawyer... any insights on that? We could really use one. I don't like Wall Street using my assets like a yo yo, do you? Just saying, if I got sick, or my wife got sick, we might need the money... Not motivated by greed here.... something else... justice.

I was a Broadcast Regulations lawyer with NBC at the start of my career and dealt mostly with FCC related issues so not really experienced w the SEC except with the FCC once being much more active in enforcement than the SEC.
I do know some of the top lawyers in this area though but don't really have the time to compile all the information necessary. Justice unfortunately is not evenly distributed.

I stand corrected however as I recal it never really took off although it got a lot of press as it was deemed headline worthy...
