Mannkind will be issuing 50,000,000 dollars of stock. I think it relates to 100 million debt recently retired. Have to read the entire filing

Interesting that in the uses they don't list paying off the debt. Maybe that means they will use cash on hand to pay off the debt and that this instrument will then only be used as necessary moving forward to meet operating expenses... and hopefully the share price would be higher on average than where we are now. However, it is unsettling that the limit to the dilution is set at 25,000,000 shares. That implies a really low price ($2) and is getting into the realm of non trivial dilution if this worst case occurs.

From the filing: "All offers and sale of common stock of the Company pursuant to the ATM Agreements were previously made under the Company’s Registration Statement on Form S-3 (Registration No. 333-183679) and a prospectus supplement thereunder, which expired on August 31, 2015. " Less

Matt said that there won't be dilution. Though I do not know what is going on, I would think that they will swap debt with equity. That is good for the balance sheet, though I wander what effect this would have on the pps.

Either way this will be spun by the FUD'sters as a negative....... A three day weekend helps people forget. Besides, I think we have seen that you don't need any news to bring MNKD down.

Note the choppy afterhour trade. Perhaps a Short trap to throw them off. Get in deeper as our scripts rise, insurance tier grows, & marketing spends accelerates. Relax, we saw some progress today in scripts and there is simply insufficient data to cause any anxiety for the holiday weekend.
