Hi everyone!
I just received a message from ProBoards - we are approaching our max storage for attachments. If we reach our max, I would be obligated to pay to increase our storage capacity - and I will not do this. My options are to tediously delete old attachments and restrict the posting capabilities of our members.
Please help out; pay attention and post only relevant information. Oftentimes, a link will suffice in lieu of an attachment.
I probably will do some deleting of attachments contained in very old posts. These have to be evaluated one by one, so it is not something I have a lot of time to do. If you look at an old post and find the attachment missing, this is probably the reason.
Thanks!

What is the additional cost as we all might want to chip in with a go find me page.it would be sad to lose all the great images posted in the past.

I am regretful the work involved that I played a part in. I will change the way I post. Thank you Liane.

I appreciate all the concern; I was not aware we had a limit. We will not top out next week or next month, but it is something to keep an eye on. My thought is that if we all pay attention - only post an attachment when it is necessary - we'll get by. The staff can also delete attachments that are very old and/or not pertinent (when we have spare time). Thanks!

Thanks Liane, and I greatly appreciate your efforts. You and BD do a great job. As kc mentioned, I will also chip in if needed.
On another note, a few weeks ago, when I just put the link to an article, some members got offended or got the wrong message. Anyway, I will abide by your instruction.

BD and I have done some cleaning up; we have a lot of wiggle room for now. I'm not saying don't embed attachments, just do it judiciously. For our part, the mods will clean up the board every once in a while. We should be able to get along just fine for many months. If the storage issue becomes critical, we'll readdress it.

Thank you Liane for all you do. I would chip in as well. With this board, I feel as though I'm not on a secluded island by myself bordering on having a lot of balls (or stupidity based on who you ask ie. financial advisors). LOL

LOL Or, we could all volunteer to go back and edit out unnecessary images from our past posts (we all have those edit privileges), graphics are the real space hog. You can use the program print screen to upload images to the cloud, and just provide the link, what do you think @liane? prntscr.com/8g0fci << example. Text takes almost no space

To All:
It would seem to me we don't need to worry about the size of this board. Clearly, the approach of the limit means that Afrezza will miraculously take off and then the company will be bought out. And, since the company will be incorporated into SNY or whatever, THAT board will have to worry about reaching a limit.
Hmmm....sign from the universe......

Well, the way it is supposed to work, editing becomes disabled after 1 hour (to prevent re-writing history). We've had some trouble in the past with this feature, but I think it's active now.
Seriously, everything is fine for now.

Ok. Hmm. What would be ideal would be if it would display the picture on pro boards post, not require a download? I missing something here?
