Here is an interesting tidbit. This afternoon I placed an all or none limit order for 5 MNKD Jan 2016 3.00 calls at $0.50, adding to an existing position. At that moment the bid was .45 and the ask was .65. Very soon after, the bid went to .49 for 5 Jan 3 calls, the ask remained at .65. I didn't move and my order was filled at about 3:55 at .50. So someone or something saw my .50 order and tried to buy 5 calls at .49 to sell to me at .50. It sounds rather silly to try to make $5.00 on this trade, but this is exactly what Michael Lewis describes in Flash Boys is happening millions of times a day with HFT algos. I'd never seen it before. As soon as my order executed the bid went back to .45.

This is like something that would have happened in darker times and darker places. Liars!!! FWIW--- there is massive censorship going on with ymb regarding this item quarterly.insigniam.com/leadership/how-sanofi-will-roll-out-new-products/I can't copy and paste it, because there is some adv HTML in there, but it's very optimistic, very positive about Sanofi's approach, and any reference to this on ymb---- anything ---- gets deleted almost immediately. Something is really rotten on Wall Street/Silicon Valley/GS/SEC, one big corrupt cabal... we need enforcement. I've reported so many times, not much energy left for that

To me that would seem very hard to believe. Yahoo is barely able to keep their boards functioning and is fully and totally automated so I really doubt they have the skill set to selectively block positive content only?

just read Flash Boys last week -- an amazing story expertly told and tremendously frightening. and yes, that's exactly what happened, a scalp for five bucks. times a few million times a day and BAM. you're freaking rich and you never have a day of losses.
his other book The Big Short just was filmed and will be released soon as well.
readers, did anyone discover the identity of the guy at the end of Flash Boys who had set up the new satellite network? i'm curious....

I personally saw the deleted posts. Someone has put it back up already. Users can "flag" a post and perhaps their admin has a default number of flags and at which time a post gets removed. I doubt yahoo has anything to do with it directly.
However, yahoo has sold "sponsorship admin" rights to public forums in the past so it wouldn't surprise me if they sold the rights to admin the key words which we rely on, "afrezza" "TS" etc. If I recall, they would have the sponsored company posted in plain sight.

Something I hadn't mentioned, my .50 bid was never posted. This is a clear sign that my order was sent to a dark pool, in this case almost certainly the UBS dark pool. So an HFT operating in the dark pool "saw" my order and posted a visible .49 bid for the outer markets to see. I think I'll be bringing this up with the broker who placed the order. Of course it's possible that without the .01 skim to the HFT, my order might never have filled. Of course if there was someone in the outer markets actually willing to sell for $.49 I did get ripped off the five dollars.

When there's no cost to the person making the trade and it's all run and done by machine, we'll see this nonsense.

This is actually happening. Yes I think the boards are automated. But I sincerely believe this "automation" has been skewed in the paid bashers favor. I mean look at your ability to change identities SO EASILY. What normal retail investor needs to change hteir identity like that? Nobody. I have 1 identity, and that's all I need. I'm sure many of you agree. Second, I believe you can flag posts and they automatically get deleted. Remeber these paid bashers WORK IN GROUPS. so if posts automatically get deleted after 5 downvotes, say in 5 min. Or whawtever they determined to be the algorithm, that would make it so paid bashers working as a team could get whatever posts they want removed if worked together. Say these flags re-set after 5 min, that would make THEIR POSTS have a better likelyhood of staying up, as normal retail investors don't work together, so maybe they get 30 flags on their posts, but it's throughout the day, and there is an automatic "reset" of flags.... See programing like this, even when "automated" could be extremely biased....

If you can skew Google search algorithms I have no illusion that a shaky platform like Yahoo M Boards can't be fooled or manipulated. And also agree there is a higher likelihood of gaming by certain groups that already engage in questionable (and potentially illegal) market manipulations. I am simply stating that Yahoo is not directly or indirectly involved and that their algorithms could be gamed by either sides. Yahoo has bigger issues than how their wild west MB are abused... Or the abuse of their MB could be a symptom of a company that doesn't know how to leverage what it has going for it? One of my favorite biotechs has a Yahoo MB 100% controlled (last time I looked anyway) by a group of trolls who only post to make certain no one can post anything positive. It looks like some kind of computer generated negative spam messaging. Again Yahoo is oblivious to this abuse.

There's not many place for the retail investor to get news and YMB pops up first when you start your google search, that's powerful stuff. Wall Street, while corrupt scumbags, are not dumb. They are just soulless.

Once the function is clicked, yahoo deletes the post regardless of content and regardless of who clicked Report Abuse.

The YMB is messed up, because someone tried to automate the deletion of certain users' posts with website testing software. There is some very nice software tools that will find a string, look for a picture, and perform a series of clicks. They messed it up somehow and they are deleting all the posts. Eventually someone will come back to the office and realize their mistake. No posting or reading until then. The testing software would be a lot cheaper than 3 shifts in a boiler room and no worry about information leaks. Hope they finger the culprit.

The problem doesn't exist on YMB's other messageboards. Only MNKD. That suggests special treatment, rather than a systemic software glitch. 'Nuff said on the matter, IMO.

It has gotten completely out of control. Someone knows how to game the YMB system, probably using the Flag/Report Abuse, though I do not know for sure. What got me today were the latest MF and Street hit pieces based on no information at all. Apparently The Street has the ability to interpret silence with absolute accuracy, at least well enough to publish their thoughts.
