After reading all these posts, and considering them along with some other miscellaneous cries and whispers, and putting it all through my MNKD filter, I would say the idea that some international sales are taking place is about 50/50. To me, that's pretty good odds. And what better place to sell it, where the government likely can be very proactive in actually promoting the darn drug, and maybe even have successful users make videos on how best to use, without having to worry if such promotion will affect the life span of the speckle-backed toad. And if Arabs there use it and it works, maybe people of Arabian descent in the US will demand to use it (of course, they will first consider getting their relatives in the Middle East to ship it to them), but some will see their endos. May seem like a small thing, but when your sales are the size of MNKD's, it's a BIG deal! Has afrezza been approved for sale in the UAE? Has an application been filed: www.cpd-pharma.ae/downloads/2-Complementary%20Medicines/GSL.pdf

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the General Sale List (GSL) includes Dietary Supplements, Medicated Cosmetics, Antiseptic and Disinfectants and Miscellaneous products which contains pharmaceutical ingredients and/or a medical claim and cannot be classified as medicines.

I just presumed that a prescription drug application process would be even more rigorous. The UAE NDA it is available to download here as the third one from the top: www.moh.gov.ae/en/OpenData/Pages/CPDData.aspxThis article goes into greater detail about the process: www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=f3ccf49d-987a-4b99-972f-95e37dd304a7

Just saw this thread today, and read thru it.
If it were last year, I would have out in an order to buy few thousand shares as soon as I had finished reading the title of this thread!
I sincerely hope we get something good soon. We just have 4/5 months of money..

Blueice - This is interesting to say the least. This find is so out of the ordinary, can I ask what inspired you to think of searching international shipping leads? Are you in the transportation industry? If true, this would certainly be the most exciting news for MNKD in years. As a long time MNKD long, we're now programmed to remain cautious until confirmation. Do you know if the rate shown is about right for this size and weight delivery? This doesn't appear to just be a request for a shipping quote as the dates shown indicate the cargo left yesterday and will arrive June 4. Even if it were just a quote, it would still be good news. I will be cautiously optimistic this is not another carefully orchestrated scheme to manipulate the stock price. Guess we'll know shortly when we see scripts jump from under 300 a week to 300,000 in one week;) GLTA "This find is so out of the ordinary, can I ask what inspired you to think of searching international shipping leads? " Sometimes, when ice, even blue ice, gets hot, it melts, then, it often leaks.... baba is right, this find is so out of the ordinary. I would put chances of this being true about 99.5 - .5 against. I said it earlier, you don't mark an international shipment by it's trade name. You must state what the product is comprised of; In this case, Insulin, human. But that's a guess on my part, it may be (and probably is) much more complicated than that. Besides, I think if it were real then it would go by air. Why would they wait thirty days just to save on some freight expense?

It would almost seem like there would have to be some form of "chain of custody" to ship something like Human Insulin to prevent, (god forbid), tampering. Somebody or some system would have to be implemented to ensure the product is wholesome when it arrives. ☠️☠️

So, is there any FINAL VERDICT on whether this multi ton shipment of AFREZZA to the middle east is legit or not? It makes a big difference on whether we can continue as a going concern or not unfortunately... We are rapidly reaching the point of inflection which is simply sell AFREZZA or die. There is no in between. Sell the drug or go bankrupt, PERIOD. So far I'm terribly disappointed, but that can change quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Not as good as prescribing it willy-nilly, but maybe their studies, at least under certain circumstances, go pretty fast, like a year, instead of 12 years. They can piggy-back on much of the FDA stuff, no doubt.
