I honestly thought I would see a press release of Mike leaving before Matt. I don't know how much faith I have in Mike and Rose raising the capital needed to move forward but I guess we will find out.

I dont view this as a catalyst. Say what you will about Matt, the company needs to deal with its Deerfield debt and complete a money raise somewhere.
If partnership deals with upfront money arent near completion the company doesnt have someone with a skillset to deal with these challenges. I guess we will learn that shortly on the Deerfield Debt. There must be something big brewing for MannKind.

Was never a fan of Matt in the CEO role. He seemed like a nice guy and that's not what MNKD needed. IMO it comes down to two things 1) Matt did something to get fired (possibly Aegis) or something else 2) He quit and this the best way to keep the stock price from cratering. It will be interesting to see how the market digest the news not PM This has been in the works. Matt was not fired.

That's why I said before the shareholder meeting that there would be changes. And my question was how much to the BOD and management disagree on how to move forward.

Kind of explains why Matt didn't talk at the shareholders mtg. I feel sorry for him. He was forced into the CEO role because they had no one else. But then again his compensation should cushion the blow.

Would not be surprised if Matt was fired over the Aegis fiasco. Simply a bone headed mistake whoever agreed to that, and i assume was him.

I'm not going to sit here and bad mouth Matt, but Mike C has been the only one defending and promoting Afrezza publicly. Mannkind does not need a tight lipped CEO that is afraid to speak out because some of his earlier comments didn't materialize, we need an Aggressive CEO that is in the News talking about our game changing product. It is what it is, Matt was crucified for speaking, then re crucified for silence, he is not the type of man we need to publicly defend and promote Afrezza. Congratulations to Mike C, And a Sincere Thank You to Matt P
Good Luck Everybody
GO MANNKIND !!!

Matt has had trouble with his eyes for some time. Why do you think he was fired? He carried a truly tremendous load for the last few years. My best wishes to him.

When the parachute contracts were updated a few months ago, it was evident that something might be up. The board might have done a discreet search for an outside replacement and finding nobody highly qualified that was willing to take on the job, Mike was the logical alternative. The learning curve to be CEO of a public company is brutal, and doubly so for a company in financial distress, so wish Mike lots of luck. It will be a long summer for him.
