Here is the floorplan www.expocad.com/host/fx/afassanoco/17ada/default.htmlOneDrop has a booth. Apple nor Onduo nor Microsoft nor Amazon have booths. Maybe next year the Tech companies will take over. Three messages I would try and convey 1. All T1's should be using afrezza NOW for corrections - "Don't sweat the highs with afrezza, just breathe" I would have a large screen running Eric Fenar's correction video on youtube running in a loop. Maybe they could get Eric there in person. 2. Nothing is better than afrezza at addressing the principle issue for T2 diabetics which is the body is not producing enough mealtime insulin. I would have a video similar to Fenar's with a T2 on metformin take a glucose drink and watch as their blood sugar goes 200+. I would then show how long it takes to drop to 100. I would then have them do the same taking afrezza and blunting the rise to 130 and then watch it drop to 100. I might even show the same demo with a small - 4u, medium - 8u and large to demonstrate how fast afrezza is in/out so severe hypos are not much concern. I would also have study handouts on how early insulin intervention in T2s can reverse it. We have 40+ years of studies showing this. 3. All T1s and T2s should be using CGMs. I would have the entire MNKD booth staff wearing CGMs. Some from Dexcom, some from Abbott and some Iwatches with the prototype bands. I am assuming Dachis can get a few from Tim Cook. Also - Mike and friends need to pack the Sunday 2pm session on "Should T2s be using CGMs".

If you are correct and nothing but DTC matters they should be cancelling the booth. However, the real value at ADA are the backroom deals. I fully expect Apple and Onduo and Microsoft and Amazon will be walking the floor and having meetings.
ADA 77 has nothing to do with DTC.

You have to be there because your competitors are also exhibiting there. If you do not show up and have a booth, then you are not considered to even be in the market. It was a good choice to go ahead and get a booth at ADA 2017

Is Mannkind presenting in a session at the ADA? Or is it all about the booth?
I looked at the ADA website and couldn't find any sessions listed with Mannkind, but my search was not exhaustive.

Any news on the Sunday 2pm session on CGMs and their use with T2's? All I can find is some very mad Doctors! They don't want you to tweet during sessions either.

accuracy criteria (95% or more test results must fall within ±15 mg/dL or ±15% at glucose concentrations <100 mg/dL or ≥ 100 mg/dL respectively,
The percentages of test results that fell within these accuracy criteria for the other systems in the study were 96% for the Accu-Chek® Aviva Connect, 95% for the FreeStyle® Freedom Lite, 95% for the GlucoMen® Areo and 93% for the OneTouch® Verio. None of the results provided by each system was found to be clinically unacceptable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- so 95% of the time the monitors are 85% accurate? alrighty then.

Yes, that's the right way to think of it. 5% of the time, the meters will fall outside of that 85% (or better) accuracy. Of course, you won't know that, since you won't be comparing it with a lab test. Manufacturing tolerances. Looser tolerances that still allow for good glycemic control make the monitors and strips less expensive to manufacture and allow more people to have access. This is why it's good to take your meter with you and test at the same time you have your blood drawn for your 6-month (or yearly) checkup. It lets you compare your meter with a known accurate test.

One Drop is presenting their results today at noon EST. I'm sure they will also do a PR this week with the data from their studies.

I thought with all that volume a few weeks ago the ADA was a potential milestone moment in the making.

You've got to understand, Mike could sneeze and many people would interpret it as a sign that a deal to distribute Afrezza in China was about to be announced. Because, obviously, he must have caught bird flu on a secret overnight mission to China to sign the deal. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
