Hope this will make the shorts to rethink about their position and the future MNKD partners ink a deal with MNKD faster. The waiting of a manful short squeeze seems endless ...

I watched the video of the testimony and questions. This was a big day for MannKind and Afrezza. Every time a US Senator mentioned inhaled insulin, I thought to myself well here is a thumb in your eye Sanofi. Folks this was a widely covered event and now US Senators know about inhaled insulin. How much commercial time was that worth? A bunch! But now the company needs to send in information packet and samples of the inhaler To each and every congressman and senator in Washington DC. They need to mobilize and I am sure they do not know how to do this. I hope that 'Mike realizes what he needs to do to inform congressman and senators about the availability of Afrezza.

I'm curious as to what you think that would accomplish. Couldn't hurt I suppose, but neither would sending "information packets and samples" to a random 535 citizens (who would be much more likely to see what had been sent to them). Even better: Sending the info and samples to 535 media people.

Every member of Congress and the Senate have a health care liaison aid. It's just another way of informing them of the existence of a great product that aids diabetics that is not very visible to the general public. To each their own but it would not hurt because they get calls every day in their office by sick people I'm sure many of them with diabetes. Perhaps even some members of their staff or congressman/Senator also have diabetes

This is as everyone had said, good news! I really hope Mike C has his attention drawn to this thread and to the suggestion about lobbying Senators now including with a few dummy inhalers and a briefing pack. I hope if mnkd did that they would ensure the financial case is made as well as 'just' the immediate health one, ie that the savings to state and private health care and the economy of fewer lost limbs, lost sight and lost working days and productivity are likely huge when diabetes is controlled.

I actually like the idea of using inhalers with dummy cartridges when marketing to masses at various events. I was at JDRF event last year and there were individual inhalers on the table but when I asked for one I was told they are for display only.
I think that distributing the inhalers to people that are interested in Afrezza will go a long way and increase awareness greatly (seeing or holding the actual inhaler / cartridge is better than 1000 words)...
Maybe this is already happening... Does anybody know if Mannkind is giving out promotional inhalers at their events?

Does anyone know if those dummy cartridges in the blister packs clearly state that it is empty ... and not just on the box? I would hate for someone to try it ... thinking it's the real deal ... and walk away thinking that it didn't do anything for them.

Actor Paul Sparks testified before Congress on Wednesday, urging lawmakers to provide more funds for diabetes research.
Sparks, who stars on the Netflix hit "House of Cards," shared his own personal history with Type 1 diabetes at a hearing of the Senate Special Committee on Aging.
He told lawmakers that he had begun to feel ill when living in New York at the age of 28.
“Over the course of about seven or eight months, I lost close to 40 pounds,” Sparks said, “I had to go to the bathroom all the time, I had cramps constantly. I was thirsty, hungry, starving. I couldn’t see very clearly. I mean my body was completely falling apart."
When he went home to see his family in Oklahoma, his family was shocked by the physical change.
“My mother and father almost had a heart attack when they saw me," Sparks said in his emotional testimony.
When his brother, who was a medical resident at the University of Oklahoma at the time, heard of the symptoms, he told Sparks to visit a doctor, believing he had Type 1 diabetes. That turned out to be the correct diagnosis.
Today, Sparks relies on inhaled insulin and a continuous glucose monitor (CGM), which allows him to know at all time whether his glucose is high or low. He described his CGM as “awesome."
“These advances have transformed my life,” he said.
And he urged Congress to continue to provide funds for the Special Diabetes Program so that doctors and researchers can find new ways to help people with diabetes.
"We can’t let up on research. We need more advances," Sparks said.
Sparks plays the author Thomas Yates on "House of Cards" and has been nominated for an Emmy for his performance.

Great story!
Unfortunately, Trump wants to make huge cuts to medical research funding. MannKind wasn't going to get any cash anyways, but it's a bad sign and shortsighted.
Our University's have always been a source and incubator of innovation... that eventually leads to job growth.
Hopefully philanthropists step up and fill in the gap.
