what is really interesting about MNKD/AFREZZA is everyone and their brother can see this stuff works great. All they have to do is look at a continuing glucose monitor. All we need is insurance. Joey now has a prescription and is coverage by insurance, things have changed.Smoke and mirrors insurance. Afrezza works great. "Afrezza insulin human, keeps your blood glucose from going high in the first place." Deerfield can see the stuff works great. Yes Peppy, went to CVS to get script RENEWED today, had to get them to correct from the old script of 90 4 unit cartridges to the 60/60/60 count box....copay with Express Scripts only 50 smackaroos and even better was picking up my Freestyle Libre with co-pays as well, comes w/3 10 day sensors...I call this tremendous PROGRESS!!! ....or as you would say Peppy Huge Hair Day Little NYE story for you, was at a pretty large (about 100 tables of 10) dinner party and when taking my Afrezza one of the wives of another guest inquired about it. Turns out her husband who was paying attention to the band is T2 and when she heard it was insulin put her finger over her mouth as to infer shhhh...then she pointed to her husband, I mouthed is he T2? She nodded affirmative....so I inhaled and showed her how incredibly easy it was, I guess she was so taken by it...she tapped her husband on the shoulder and told him to turn around and explained what I had just inhaled. He couldn't believe it so I handed him the dreamboat and the cartridge....he just looked amazed. Turns out they were from Vancouver BC so I told them it wasn't available in Canada yet, however they were pretty close to the Washington border and gave them the Mannkind contact info. I can't wait to take out the Libre now and wave it by my arm to get my BG reading and show that off as well....it will take time but when this senior gets done, a lot of other seniors are going to be educating their physicians and/or endo's. They will also know about Express Scripts as opposed to UHC and affiliates....one brick at a time, eventually the wall crumbles, what a difference a year makes

Did you have the same insurance in 2017 and if so what was the co-pay then? How much co-pay for the Freestyle?

Did you have the same insurance in 2017 and if so what was the co-pay then? How much co-pay for the Freestyle? You mean you've been on this board for almost two years and you're asking me that insurance question? If I was invested in this company and there was a poster pounding the table about the insurance issues from day 1 along with their own personal experience regarding their carrier on many posts I would certainly be paying attention. Please don't take that the wrong way, just was kind of surprised about the question especially with the sticky that has been on the board for the last few weeks regarding United Healthcare....so to answer your question, no to my detriment, I had United Healthcare the last two years which fought tooth and nail to keep me from obtaining Afrezza. I was able to switch to Express Scripts beginning this year which led me to get to the pharmacy asap yesterday. The co-payment for the Libre was $65 for the reader, and $75 for the monthly supply of sensors. So my monthly out of pocket going forward for both Afrezza and the sensors will only be $125/mo (for which I will gladly sacrifice one steak and potato dinner ) to stay in range, live a healthier and hopefully extended life, and as a bonus remain needle and prick free The cherry on top will be really PRICK (you know who they are lol) free when the rest of society both medically and socially have their awakening which I suspect is a lot closer than it was when Sanofi was in charge. I saw numbers today that I haven't seen since I can remember, I am looking forward to collecting on some bets come March when I receive my next set of labs I am so stoked about this combination of Afrezza and the Libre, truly amazing breakthroughs...I would go long Abbott as well because although the CGM may be the current monitor of choice, this one is perfect for T2's and a heck of a lot less expensive and very convenient....can an individual take a 4 hour drive from Vegas to LA and not have to worry about stopping to inject or prick fingers to check your BG levels on an hourly basis....instead you can just take the Libre reader wave it by the sensor outside of your clothes and then take a correction breath if needed....again amazingly powerful and so easy, yes it seems too good to be true but it really is THE REAL DEAL combination and I'm now experiencing what the founding father visionary knew way back when.

If only companies like UHC could be sued by patients whose health has been compromised. But you only have to look at how McKesson recently got off the hook related to the DEA's proving how they are largely responsible for the opioids epidemic (60 minutes exposé) but the Agency's internal lawyers refused to litigate for the $1 billion targeted by the DEA management, and prison terms for McKesson executives. There was even solid evidence of how McKesson was channeling opioids to organized crime. Instead, McKesson got off with a mere $100 million fine. What chance do diabetes patients have of winning a reckless endangerment lawsuit against UHC for forcing them to use less effective drugs with dangerous side effects?

Incredible stuff! This board was created to discuss our MNKD investment, but hearing yet another story on how it undeniably has changed you way of living..makes investors who are also diabetic WINNERS regardless of how much the gain/lose in their investment..health and happiness doesn’t come with a price..Congrats

MNKD Nasdaq real time shares 1,063,012. $2.47 unchanged. www.nasdaq.com/symbol/mnkd/real-timeMNKD Nasdaq summary volume, 1,368,075 www.nasdaq.com/symbol/mnkdMannmade posted this post on another thread. 1. Deerfield Debt: The $10m note that is due this coming Monday, 01.15.18 will (my opinion) either be; a.) renegotiated to a lower price and exchanged for stock, b.) pushed back for another quarter, or c.) they will take the cash. My hope is that it is pushed back for another quarter as I think that would been seen as mildly positive. 2. Cash: My understanding of the current cash situation (and I could be wrong) is that Mnkd had approximately $40m coh at the end of 4th Q 2017, with a current cash burn of between $28m and $32m per quarter and a need to have $25m in reserve at the end of 1st Q 2018 per the Deerfield note. So it looks like Mnkd can solve this one of several ways: a.) Use the ATM to finance short term needs, b.) try and get the pps up perhaps with the announcement of some good news, or combination thereof, such as the NDA filing, meeting 4th Q guidance, increased insurance coverage (which we have been expecting in January 18), partnership announcement, STAT Study Results announcement (although I am inclined to think this will not happen until ADA) and then raise enough cash to take us 12 to 18 months out and hopefully much closer to break-even, or c.) raise cash at the current pps for another quarter or two.. In any event something will have to be announced regarding the cash situation during the first quarter. My hope is that they will announce some good news and with this, find a way to push up the pps and raise enough cash to carry us towards breakeven, taking this topic off the table for at least 12 months as one less thing to discuss while the company gains momentum and the pps in turns gains steam and stability. 3. Scripts/Revenue: are really all that matters. Everything else mentioned above whether as a specific topic or part of the several possible binary/good news events we think are on the horizon are just stop gaps for MNKD until scripts and the resulting revenue starts to climb in a bigger way. Once this happens then the stock will stabilize, the shorts will start to exit, and we can all watch this company grow over the next several years. I use the word "hope" above to express my choice of how I would like things to go in the short term, but of course as I have said before "hope is not a strategy." I am however of the beleif that Mike does have a strategy and we should likely see some of it play out in the next 30 to 45 days. My understanding is a bit different:
Sept 30th they had ~$20M left, gained ~$57M and reported a burn of ~$10M/month (up from $7.3M). That would leave them with ~47M around now.
