More importantly, it looks like they have taken a page from our illustrious leader (btw, don't take that too seriously NY Lefty, however, chameleon you can take the analogy serious ) about not telegraphing and using a little bit of the surprise factor, even good ole Spence was caught off guard, which is what I've mentioned before about those darn catalysts that come from left field and aren't or can never really be part of his "modeling". It's happened before and suspect it will happen many more times in the future. Biggest game of the year tonight Baba, win this one and the pressure gets a tad heavier on those red jersey's back in DC. (I would have use the VGK color font in bold but was put in the corner with 20 lashes for overdoing it previously but one can use your imagination, insert pic of hockey stick here Joey, I was rooting for your Knights, but when they lost that second game and were denied that tying goal in the last minute or so by the miracle save, I have to tell you I flashed right back to the 2003 Finals, Kings losing 4 straight to Montreal after stickgate. (Last Canadian team to win the Cup). I can't say I hate the Capitals, it was great that they won after so many years (I know about that!), but the season and the playoff run for the Knights was magical and I'm sure all Vegas fans appreciated the treat their team gave them all season long! Since we're in the same division, I'm sure I'll get to dislike the Knights, but not for now! As I told people when they beat the Kings, the Kings played really well in that series, and still the Knights overcame that with excellent, excellent defense. That was so impressive for a team that I felt was mainly great on offense, but so so on defense. The Caps were able to take their space away, much the way the Knights usually do to their opponents. Hats off to them, no one else was able to do that! So, congrats on a truly fantastic season, may MNKD be so tenacious and gallant! The Capitals power play was very impressive, I expect Dr. Kendall's power play to be as equally impressive at the ADA 😉 Hats off to the Capitals, they very much deserved to hoist the cup...and yes Peppy, the Afrezza hockey stick remains very much in play. Currently on a layover with the Mrs.in Red Wings town heading to our son's graduation from his medical residency, very proud parents, feel so blessed, between my family, friends, and the fruit of Al's perserverance. Enjoy your weekend's everyone...good times ahead 😉👍

Is this the stimulus for the price to run up for another private placement? Based on the previous experience, is now the time to cash out at $5-6 and then hope to get back in at a lower price? Or will it be different this time? I’ll be kicking myself if I took profits and then the stock did not fall back. I think I will cash out my 2020 calls and consider selling shares in my IRAs to avoid capital gains. I’m sure the traders among us will sell, but how about the rest of the longs?
Boca, first of I am NOT an accountant but I've been working on the understanding that any funds withdrawn from my IRAs will be treated as normal income so there is no need to keep records of gains and losses. With that being said I keep every record...... just to be safe.
Perhaps someone more knowledgeable on this matter can confirm or correct my perspective.
Of course

Of course
I have shares in both taxable and non taxable accounts. So if I consider selling shares (@ $6?), I would do so from my non taxable IRAs.

Haha, I was at the friggin third game that year! I was too tired when I posted that, I guess, when I wrote it, I first thought 2004, then, I said, no, that doesn't sound right, it was a 3, so I wrote 2003, knowing something just didn't sit right! That's just awful! That's why I don't predict MNKD moves (actually, only one of many reasons).

Wouldn't a partnership qualify as a material event and require a press release? If MNKD had a partner on the drug, I feel like we would have known by now. “In negotiations.” Not till they sign on the dotted line. @sportsrancho - Isn't it possible that it's not available for license because MNKD has no intention of looking for a partner, i.e., it has the same status as Afrezza which has no partner...

Lucky you, i would love to be at a Stanley cup final game. In 1993 i was just a little too young and we never went back to the final. I do remember that year thought because there were riots to ''celebrate''. Peoples are not always super bright. Unfortunatly, with the awful season that the Canadiens just had, i dont think im gonna live this soon. That sad because a couple of years ago we went to the semi final and the vibe in Montreal was inversible. Can only imagine what it would be in the final. So.. I will do what im doing with my mnkd investment...ill be very patient 😄

Others have mentioned that Mike said they are looking for a TretT partner. So, you are correct, Sports ... not likely. We need the cash and Sales help. A TretT partner would be a very good thing. Even if we could get $50M, that would be a great thing right now.

I think it is possible yes. But not likely. I agree with that entirely. Despite the direct selling of Afrezza you have to think that Mannkind still sees itself primarily as a development company. If you look at the web site a lot of it is focused around developing inhaled versions of products with a definite B2B feel. I can easily see Mannkind never directly selling another product again and returning to licensing inhaled versions of drugs for other pharmas to sell. If you want a model for this look at DVAX who went down almost exactly the same path as Mannkind. They developed a superior vaccine but got sucked into a complete mess with the FDA approval. After approval they decided to sell the vaccine direct and have built a direct sales force, but for the the next drug in their pipeline, SD101, they partnered with Merck and Merck will license it. Going forwards they will partner. The market is always going to punish small pharmas attempting to go it alone because the market doesn't believe small pharma has the links to insurers, PBMs, and doctors that big pharma does. In the current system where insurers/PBMs negotiate for portfolios rather than individual drugs it is hard to disagree.

boca said "I have shares in both taxable and non taxable accounts."
Listen very carefully ... can you hear the IRS laughing?!!! They got you either going in or coming out. Sometimes, you can get taxed twice. Be very careful.

IMO, it's likely MNKD already has a TreT partner in the wings. MK seems to be hinting strongly at a forthcoming announcement with his comment about three events, a big month in June and the "graveyard for shorts". He says the first event was the TreT announcement. This could be wild speculation...or not. As always, we'll see.
