have you gotten a tuberculosis vaccine and a follow up dose? I actually had BCG twice, once when I was eight and once when I was fourteen. I really want to see more about this because the idea has been around for a while and I know someone who went as far as buying the vaccine and giving himself a huge shot in both arms and nothing apparently happened except for a nasty infection (he had bought it from Bulgaria so I wonder if it was ok). It looks like it takes years to work so maybe it has worked for him by now. I wonder if I can find him and check... yeah, I figured, this vaccine has been around since 1911? if it did work, 18 billion dollar market, Sanofi, Lilly, and novo Nordisk would have the article in the national inquirer vault. I bet this story surfaces about once a year for the clicks?

"The team also discovered that the jab speeds up the rate by which cells convert glucose into energy"
Should I interpret that as speeding up your metabolism?

"The team also discovered that the jab speeds up the rate by which cells convert glucose into energy" Should I interpret that as speeding up your metabolism? Quote: Should I interpret that as speeding up your metabolism? Reply: you would be wrong. Metabolism is controlled by the thyroid gland. t3, t4. Glycolysis produces only 2 ATP molecules, but somewhere between 30 and 36 ATPs are produced by the oxidative phosphorylation of the 10 NADH and 2 succinate molecules made by converting one molecule of glucose to carbon dioxide and water, while each cycle of beta oxidation of a fatty acid yields about 14 ATPs. This novel approach for blood sugar regulation appears to hinge on a systemic switch from primarily oxidative phosphylation to early aerobic glycolysis resulting in the acceleration of glucose uptake. If this novel mechanism of systemic blood sugar control is driving the return towards normoglycemia after BCG treatment, the data would suggest that this mechanism is independent of the underlying etiology of hyperglycemia—in this case autoimmune type 1 diabetes. Autoimmunity was not essential for BCG to lower blood sugars.

And speaking of wine ... how many people from California know that there is a castle in the Sonoma/Napa area? Let's see a show of hands ... zero. BTW, this is a full sized castle with draw bridge and everything. So many of my friends come back from the wine country and I ask them if they saw the castle. Nope ... nobody saw it. Anyway, for those of you planning on visiting the area ... here is a link. But, having the link doesn't mean that you will find the castle ... because you can't see it from the road. Maybe they put neon signs up now ... if not, look for the sign on the side of the road and drive up this road leading up. Keep going and don't turn back before you find it. You may feel that you are lost ... and you probably are. But, what the heck. Here is the link ... www.castellodiamorosa.comI've been to the castle. Did the tour. Drank the wine.

I may have been their. I remember a comment over salad, "do you recognize any of these leaves?"

Kinda makes me wonder if peppy drank too much wine ... and was on the ground looking at grape leaves?
