How are we not on THE CNBC disrupters list . That was for non-public companies I believe. I suggested Vdex apply the last two years. In the seventh annual Disruptor 50 list, CNBC features private companies — from biotech and machine learning to transportation, retail and agriculture — whose innovations are changing the world and fueling a race between superpowers like the U.S. and China. These forward-thinking start-ups have not only identified unexploited niches in the market that have the potential to become billion-dollar businesses, a majority of them already are billion-dollar businesses. A startling 36 disruptors this year are unicorns that have already reached or passed the billion-dollar mark.

Where are those promised publications? Another example of the CEO’s Marketing Director not delivering results. Based on her only published article, I think she needs to hire some experienced writers. Dr. K. said they have 9 (?) draft articles for submission at the ASM and thanked his medical team for their efforts. I don’t remember him mentioning publishing dates but assumed this year. ...but not that any have already been submitted? If so, that's some major foot-dragging! These sound like medical publications that may educate doctors Was there any mention of media publications? These are articles that published less scientific data and make more use of layman's term and general messages. The intent should be to keep MannKind/Afrezza news current and a topic of discussion within the diabetes community media outlets. Very important!

These are articles that published less scientific data and make more use of layman's term and general messages. The intent should be to keep MannKind/Afrezza news current and a topic of discussion within the diabetes community media outlets. Very important! Foot-dragging is an understatement. I recall at last year's ASM Dr. Kendall waxing eloquent on all the publications that were in the works. Then again we heard many things that never panned out come to think of it. :-) “Publication planning is integral and essential to the entire marketing plan,” says Norma-Jeanne Hennis, president of MedPharm Communications. “Even though doctors have limited available time, they’ll still read the abstracts and conclusions or pick up a journal that a colleague recommends. Publications create noise, interest, and discussion. They also create quotes and references for visual aids. Publication planning is the seed from which everything else grows.” Marketing depends on science to back up claims about a product, and the best, most trusted, and most accessible sources for that scientific information are the scientific articles published and referenced in medical journals. “Nothing in our industry is done without good science; we have a saying here – ‘it is real when it can be read,’ ” says Richard F. Lamb, director of scientific publications, U.S. medical research, at Aventis. “No matter how much money a company puts into education or promotion, everything is based on how good the science is."

9 draft articles about what? It doesn't seem like there would be that many potential topics.

I may not have gotten it exactly correct. Dr. K. mentioned them right at the end of his address at the ASM.
