Once in a while, it is a good idea to think through before writing online. It benefits everyone. A warrant is just another name for a call option with a specified strike price. Only difference is that you send the strike price to the company instead of the options clearing house. You have to pay the premium for a call option, warrants are handed out for free as incentive.

Ok. There is nothing free in this world. It is just a matter of figuring out where the cost (premium) is hidden. Why don't you do that as a homework exercise in the case of MNKD and its warrants.

Although I still think if I were playing that short warrant game, I would short before the offer closed and cover after the drop and be done with it. Remember that they got both SHARES and WARRANTS. Two separate things. Short after you sign the papers, cover after the price drops post-offering. That takes care of the shares; now for the warrants. Wait until the price is above the warrant strike price, then short the stock, and either cover with the warrants if the price goes up, or cover by purchasing shares if the price drops, and keep the warrants to repeat the play.

We need big news to blow through them🙏🏻 We got sold down the river on that set up. Although some very experienced men told me that they would’ve been crazy to set up this deal this way unless there was another shoe to drop. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know about the danny connection. As for leerick they were lead bookrunner for the December financing. Their upgrade looks like a conflict and just a way to get their clients out and profit of MNKD on the backs of retail. If this is so, then it would appear their client’s did not short the December shares afterall as you were initially thinking? I don't believe there was volume before the offering to short. I also did not see a change in the short interest report to say that those participating were covering a short position. My hypothesis is they took a long position at 1.25 and there has probably has not been enough volume in the last 2 months to unwind their long position. The upgrade in my opinion is to unwind what long position is left and to short afterwards.

So calculated around 1.20 for the stock and .30 cents for the warrant.

When that happens there is a measured move. triangle high, $6.96. Triangle low, .67. Subtract = @ 6 dollars. Point of break out will/would be 2 dollars. 2 dollars plus 6 dollars = 8 dollar target on a triangle break out. In a nutshell ... ended 2018 at $1.06 ... added 50 cents ... and now at $1.56 ... WOW !!!
But will we make it to mango's $20 end of year target? Beats me ... because $20 isn't even on peppy's chart.
