You have to be insured for the co-pay card (tricky to reduce a co-pay to $15 if there is no co-pay  ), but you don't have to be insured for the Eagle Pharmacy deal. What was said in the call:
"The new co-pay card we are launching and how they are different. So this card is a two in one card. So what happens, last year we had a voucher program that gave you one month free. Now what will happen is the patients go to the pharmacy, they’ll download the card, they can use it on their Apple wallet or a Google platform and they can use that if -- it will - they won’t even know if they are covered or not."
How do you interpret "they can use that if...they are covered or not"? Presumably, if it required insurance, they couldn't use it if they weren't covered.
The card provides secondary coverage which makes up the balance between what the insurer will pay and the $15. It means you get your Afrezza regardless of whether the insurer offers cover. The devil is in the detail. The card doesn't say what the maximum it will pay is, just that there is a maximum. It also says " pay as little as" but it doesn't tell you how to work out how much they will cover (this is usually linked back to the maximum they will pay). Somewhere there must be a plan description, but I cannot find it on the site. |

Now it says $120 for 90 and $199 for 180 either 4,8, or 12U cartridges. That would certainly be a big savings on 12U cartridges. Those list for around $1000 a box of 90 cartridges.

I just ordered and now have a tracking number from Eagle for my first order of Afrezza. They sold it to me for $120 total for a 90 day supply of 8 units @

Was ordering Afrezza thru the Eagle website pretty easy and straightforward? |

I am not sure, but there are two SKUs for 180 cartridge packs. One is for 90x4u and 90x8u, and the other is for 60x4u, 60x8u, and 60x12u. |
