It is now Feb 3rd and the direct purchase program officially ended 3 days ago. Whats the plan going forward? Is it being extended, ended or something else? I really liked the idea of the program. For under $7 per day you could get a Libre sensor and afrezza. Next to the clinics this may give afrezza a chance if it was advertised. I was hoping to see a first half Super Bowl ad about the program. I want to know as well. did they get 1000 people? I did not realize the program had ended.

I forgot or missed the fact that it was a January only offer. I wonder how close to 1,000 registrants they attracted. www.insulinsavings.com/"This offer is only available during the month of January for the first 1,000 registrants. See below for complete terms and conditions."

Here are the facts from personal experience. Just placed my 1st order, cost is $199 per month ($2388 for the year) for the 4/8/12 package which gives me tremendous flexibility. Express Scripts want $1919 for 3 months and $2835 for 6 months. My total cost last year was $3190 with insurance. I am a Type 2 on Medicare with the best Express Scripts Part D plan in my area. I have also been on Afrezza since approval and have a Freestyle Libre CGM. It is the only insulin I have ever taken. My A1C range last year was 5.8-6.1. The Direct Purchase Program timing was exceptional because that is when all the insurance plans reset. Registration online was a breeze. I called MannKind Cares asking for help and they gave me the contact information for Direct Purchase. I feel good about MannKind's effort's to help those of us on Medicare with high deductibles and I feel great about my current time in range and A1C levels.

Lakefox - you said you "just placed my 1st order". Today is Feb 4th. It would be nice to know if the program has been extended or if letting you place the order was a mistake. You said "I called MannKind Cares asking for help and they gave me the contact information for Direct Purchase."
Maybe I will call Mannkind Cares tomorrow and ask what the deal is.

No way Mannkind will end this Direct Purchase Program. I think 100% this program will stay there for a long time. What may go away is that promotional price of $199 for the first 1,000 users once that quota is used up. However, Mannkind has the full discretion to expand that program as well. And I think the regular price will not be much higher than the promotional price. If I have to guess, my guess would be that the regular price will be 2X to 3X (i.e., $400 to $600) the promotional price, that will still be much cheaper than the current GoodRx retail price.

Are you an investor as well?

I think MNKD will allow that price to run beyond 1,000 users. Makes sense to me ...

If it’s any indication, they (Mannkindcorp) retweeted the original tweet that announced the special pricing sometime yesterday afternoon. Not sure why they’d do that on Feb 4 other than to indicate it was still in effect.

Although I’m sure I heard somewhere they were extending it, I would go with compounds idea.
And his Facebook comparison:-)
This is from ST and was a lie by a short. It’s the tweet I posted.
Is $MNKD retweeting this because they can’t find people to apply? twitter.com/mannkindcorp/st...

A coupe of points of clarity to answer questions. In order to take advantage of the program you need to register for it and this had to be done in January. The 2nd requirement is a prescription sent to Eagle Pharmacy, there is a specific online form for this. I registered at the end of January and had my doctor's office send in the prescription on February 1. Eagle received it and is processing my 1st order on February 4. Yes, I am an investor and have been since before FDA approval. I was introduced to Afrezza in an interview Al Mann did with Jim Cramer on CNBC many years ago and thought it to be a very innovative and unique product. By using Afrezza and the LifeStyle CGM I believe I am doing everything possible to monitor and deal with my diabetes.

I have a screenshot of your post yesterday about Breathable insulin (WTSP.COM) 12 hours ago, then the re-tweet, then another post from 12 hours ago. The re-tweet is sandwiched in between two posts from 12 hours ago. I don't know how to post the picture. Happy to do so if someone will give me a hint. Thx.
