How many years did Amazon get bashed for its laser focus on market share at the expense of short-term profits? The timing is great here for grabbing attention while BP is on the ropes for insulin price-gouging. neil36 gets it!

This is starting to get too crazy ... the offer is for the first 1,000 people who sign up ... and it is intended for the person who doesn't have insurance and has to pay for Afrezza with cash. The word getting out makes it sound like this $4 price is for everyone. I guess if enough people try to sign up and MNKD gets bombarded, then I'm sure something can be worked out and a lower pricing could be workable. But, I'm sure it'll be a little more than $4 a day.
And that's mytakeonit

Not including tax, and assuming that is what one uses per month, it works out to be right under $4 a day. Shipping is already included in the price. 😎

Seriously, all I can say is "we'll see." Gotta give this program some time to figure how much this helps. Could be a game changer - maybe get to my critical mass number. Other pharmas may not like what we're doing, potentially a business model they won't love. If so, then that, in and of itself, is reason to do it! I think I can speak on behalf of everyone,
F the pharmas!
I’ve been bitching about pricing for a while now. I’m excited to see what impact this has on scripts.
This might be as close to we can get to being a game changer. If MannKind felt the need to dilute shares to kick-start direct sales of Afrezza then I’m in favor. I just wished they announced one after the other...
I was seeing MannKind in a slow death spiral. I finally have some hope!

ST......@rooksleanne I wonder if Canada and Mexico can access this Pharmacy? From BigCheeze Another consideration is that a doctor in Canada is not allowed to prescribe Unapproved Drugs (i.e. drugs not approved in Canada), except in very limited cases. That is discussed at the link below. www.cpso.on.ca/Policies-Publications/Policy/Prescribing-DrugsDrugs that have not been Approved for Use in Canada (‘Unapproved Drugs’) Physicians must not prescribe drugs that have not been approved for use in Canada, that is, drugs for which Health Canada has not issued a Notice of Compliance (NOC). However, there are two circumstances when access to an unapproved drug can be obtained for patient use. The first is when drugs have been authorized by Health Canada for research purposes as part of a clinical trial. The other is when drugs have been authorized under Health Canada’s Special Access Programme. (AFAIK, Afrezza has neither authorization.)

How about Edelman in the video saying how the sound of inhaler reminds him about smoking weed ... now we are talking! 💰😊
Well, he said Doritos remind him of weed but it was in the context that relates to how the inhaler sounds and his “technique”. At least that’s what I heard... 😊
I got so excited after watching the video in this thread, I did not realize there is a separate video thread, my bad ...😊
