PPS is dependent on how many shares are out there. Ford has a PPS of under $5 but a market cap of almost $20B, GE is at $6.70 PPS with a MC of $58B. So you can have a high MC with a low PPS. Touche. MC still doesn't reflect a company's actual current real value is all I am saying. PPS is meaningless in that regard as well, but I was just pointing out the huge discrepancy between the two is all. Thank you for clearing that up for me. No it doesn't, but the market values off speculation for non-established equities, especially in biotech. Novavax is the much sexier play right now than good ole MannKind.

Maybe things will change once TreT clinical trials wrap yp...☹️ Make MannKind Sexy Again

What would help is if MC and co could figure out how to really re-brand themselves as opposed to a website update. The 4 (3 remaining) COVID-19 treatment compounds are a start, but we can all see how much information they're willing to share about them in order to generate some excitement.

awesomo and mango, maybe you can start a thread on something like MNKD vs. NVAX but this one is getting hijacked and it's primarily been a volume/TA thread and it would be greatly appreciated to keep it that way. Thank you -J and just an FYI mango, NVAX had a very successful phase 3 trial recently and is a big part of the recent s/p increase as it could possible bode well for a COVID-19 vaccine using their technology...apples and oranges when comparing to current MNKD and reasons for current market cap based on historical events. Again, another thread would be more appropriate for discussion purposes.

Mango, you compared market cap but not outstanding shares. NVAX has ~42.6M outstanding while MNKD has ~213M outstanding and, considering that stockholders have been asked to authorize another 180M shares...
Also, Joey’s spot on about comparing apples to oranges. Diabetes/insulin is a huge market that also is crowded with powerful companies. Novavax has gone after the flu market and the data from its Phase 3 suggests that NanoFlu could take the #1 spot for its seasonal flu vaccine.
Wall Street prices in future potential earnings. MannKind has had 5 years and yet hasn’t convinced the market of its potential.

Speaking of sexy ...I just doubled my money in Planet Fitness ( PLNT ) bought it at $28, see you at $70.

It will only take one minor announcement on covid 19 treatments to get this back to 1.70. And q1 earnings is coming up.
