Terrific, Liane! I was just about to ask you to send all of Harshall's comments from this morning, but here it is! Just wonderful!
I have a 2:30 brunch meeting with my mother. Probably be tied up til' late tonight, and without a lot of sleep, not sure when I can be of further assistance.
Best of luck to everyone
My best estimate of the last 4 days of this stock's action is based on the POWER of all those hedge funds who bet the stock short. Once the data on Type 1's came back and Medtone results weren't given, the shorts went on the attack to get out of their short positions before they lost. They have so much power in the marketplace; they could do it (including paid bashers of FUD on the MB).

My guess is we stay down until Deerfield decides if they will convert to equity. That could come as early as sometime next week; but if they can hold it down longer, I'm sure they will. Next week is the earliest (11 days after the PIII announcement), but the conversion will be based on 20 day average VWAP. So if they can hold it down for 20 days, I'm sure they will. This waiting period unfortunately gives all the short hedgies an easier exit.

I think we all need to just wait until all this confusing chatter ends.
It will be time to buy more MNKD when a hit piece comes out and the stock doesn't go down. Until then, I think the stock will be under pressure.
Have to admit, I have a lot of trouble following the messages concerning the science/statistics.
One minute it sounds like the trials failed; next minute MNKD will be selling for $95/sh by early 2015.
Not good for a schizophrenic like me.

They say we only hurt the ones we love the most. I’m feeling like we are all embraced tightly with a Deerfield bear hug. I just hope Deerfield doesn’t love us to death! This too shall pass. And anyway, the money we get from Deerfield extends our runway and allows us to begin ramping up production. Hopefully we’ll soon see the following PRs: 1) Receipt of the $40 Million from Deerfield 2) SEC filing for Deerfield conversion 3) Payoff of Convertibles Triggering 3rd Tranche of $40 Million 4) NDA Submission 5) FDA Accepts NDA Submission 6) Partnership(s) Announcement 7) FDA Approval 8) Afrezza Prescriptions Soar!

I’m hoping MannKind follows through with the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on their website. They do have a Knowledge Center but you’ll have to dust off the cobwebs. Haven’t seen anything new there in a long while. I would really like to see a Q & A section. I believe this would put an end to a lot of our debates. By next Spring it will all be moot anyway so why bother? But I still hope they do. It would mean a lot to us investors who are deep into MNKD.
