I see this as a huge positive. We've been waiting for more publications like this. Well, some of us have. Looks like the usual Debbie Downers have taken their usual negative stance. Bring on Europe! Woot woot! I suppose I am a Debbie Downer for remarking that the market evidently doesn't care about this huge positive news? Personally, I think some are reading way too much into a conference presentation. Just because a presentation is in a location, doesn't mean a launch in that location is at all imminent. (I've presented my work at conferences in Spain on several occasions, yet I've never moved to, or done business, there.) I was talking about the yahoo's posting comments on the Yahoo comment feed below our notice this morning. Something like " another nothin' from a nothin company" something like that. I expect a sobering response from Aged and others here. Although I hate some of what they say, it usually is because I simply don't want to hear it, but should. No, these guys this morning were all too ready to pounce on what I see as a positive thing. I don't log into Yahoo anymore but I wanted to give them a piece of my mind. Just more to add to the memoir later. GLTY

It takes less pennies to buy a share than it did yesterday. I originally thought this news was positive, apparently not, or at least not significant enough to matter for share price.

Yep ... and it's up 22 cents from the $1.10 baseline that I drew. Up 27 cents from where my niece and friend bought in at $1.05.
People buy in heavy when they see potentially breaking news. Ahhh ... the life of a day trader. Except the stock market now doesn't even come close to before.
Next month with the launch, anyone who bought shares under $2 will look like a genius.
But, that's mytakeonit

We'll all be geniuses "next month"! Looking forward to that, though i've heard it before somewhere...

Those that are long consider any positive development as news that moves company closer to CFBE.
Those that are short are only focused on cash flow right now and whether or not recurring net revenue can be projected to be 20M - 25M a quarter. So, they will continue to bet accordingly...
When TreT is approved, even with slowly increasing Afrezza sales, this projection will become very real. And it’s not far away...
I’m not going anywhere until CFBE.

CFBE? The stampede will start way before that. And will continue growing after that.
For those that don't know what CFBE is ... send $20 to mytakeonit.com ... so I can also be CFBE.
But, that's mytakeonit

While "stampede" is not likely, I agree share price will turn in our favor before CFBE, but the key is CFBE being realistically obtainable. At this point it requires too much speculation (TreT generating $$, Afrezza not being such a money drain, e.g.), so we wallow at this pitiful share price.
I don't think today's news moves us any closer to CFBE. What would move us closer is MNKD figuring out how to fix the poor retention rate of Afrezza users, or partnering with somebody who can. Otherwise Afrezza is preventing us from getting closer to CFBE since we're losing money on it.

What I found disappointing in the study was the lack of any statistical analysis. To say that the T1 group experienced less time in hypoglycemia than the aspart group is simply too vague.

IMO, the Lung Safety presentation Dr. Kendall gave to the EASD last year was top-notch. Nothing happened in the year since. MannKind may be planning an marketing application for Europe but there's little reason to think it will happen this year given the costs involved and no regional partner to pick up those costs. Frankly, I hope I'm wrong about the dearth of partnership interests coming from Europe.

Its good to see Rip Van Winkle has woken from his long summer nap to give the presentation. If this data was presented as the results of the affinity 1 trial, the pps at the time would have gone to $50pps. Today, post split as usual on good news the pps closes down to a buck and change.
Hopefully Rip Van Winkle can stay awake long enough and this is the first step in securing an EU partner (Bayer?, maybe Abbott?)and file for EU approval.

I don't see us going ahead in Europe without some sort of partnership.....sooner or later. Hopefully sooner. But, however it happens, I'm pretty confident somebody WILL pick us up. They're probably discussing it already, but i'll not say it out loud because I would hate to be accused of being...well......whatever. This announcement today though, is just the beginning. IMO
