This is a reason I likely would not vote for Bill for BoD. Obviously if there is data that would convince endos to use Afrezza it would be in Bills best interest as a shareholder to get that info out. So this exchange would seem to indicate that he is putting the interests of VDex ahead of those of Mannkind and broader Afrezza adoption. Not that I necessarily hold that against him. His investment in VDex may well be greater and at present he might have other shareholders in VDex to whom he would have a fiduciary duty. But it seems this points out the inherent conflict of interest he would have.
I think Bill once claimed he'd release their protocols so that all could benefit from them... which I believe he never has.
I'd be in favor of Bill for BoD if he'd released the protocols and published data that this exchange implies they may have. That would be a clear indicator that his primary goal would be making Afrezza as large of a success as possible. I fully understand why that may be the wrong move for VDex... and I wish them all the success in the world (and have told PWD about them).
Even with the other HFM potential nominees, I'd be interested in having them state their position on what if anything MNKD should (and perhaps shouldn't) do to support VDex.

This is on the basis that what Steve says is correct, and he seems to have the email to support this so it probably is, the the squabbling argument is irrelevant. One of the participants is the CEO of a listed company and the other one isn't. Mike's behavior is problematic on several counts.

MC visits this board. He’s more than welcome to contest what has been stated here. We certainly have VDEX’s story and documentation. I’d be all for reading MC’s side in writing.

There are still no numbers presented by VDEX to justify anybody siding with them over MNKD and MC.

Hopefully, MC will ignore all of this and focus on developing and sharing positive news. Bill would do well to do the same. This is a negative distraction that no one will win.

That was Steve. In answer to a question a poster posted that asked if Vdex and Mannkind were working together ..the answer is Vdex is now working with Mannkind without Mike. |
