"Coming in 2020 : a new MannKind brand that more closely reflects our company's mission: to give people control of their health and the freedom to live life."
"We're making life more humann."
Also new logo, and new color scheme, magenta replaces blue. Is this a Hail Mary pass or the start of something better? Certainly patient retention is our biggest challenge with Afrezza.

"Coming in 2020 : a new MannKind brand that more closely more closely reflects our company's mission: to give people control of their health and the freedom to live life." "We're making life more humann." MC will need six-nine months to retool his sales force into a group that understands what that means and how it will help them sell Afrezza.

I actually really love this new branding.. problem is it won't solve the underlying reasons Afrezza isn't selling..
Endos are refusing to prescribe.. patients aren't being taught how to dose.. insurance isn't paying.. Afrezza is way more expensive.
Afrezza is amazing.. healthier for the body.. diabetes kills slowly.. An A1C of 7 kills slowly.. Eye appointments with my dad show broken blood vessels in his eyes.. Doc says it's diabetes.. disturbingly docs simply accept this..
Typical marketing won't solve our problems.. whatever Mnkd does it has to be out of the box thinking..

I call that progress. Mike has said it takes 3 years to build momentum....We are in year 3. I'm expecting a hockey stick this year. Salesforce is growing rapidly. Take a look at the job openings. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. We know about the Studies (DXCM & Levin) which I'm sure the results will be released in time for ADA2020. We know the FDA shortened the Pediatric Phase 3 Trial from 52 weeks to 26 weeks so I'm hoping for a decision right before ADA2020. We will know soon whether or not MNKD will have a booth at ADA and the size will tell us a lot. I'm hoping for a BIG SPLASH at ADA with great news and excitement. We see a ton of advertising coming out of Brazil which is a pleasant surprise. I'm hoping for more international announcements - Australia, Canada, EU? I'm sure MNKD is waiting on their patents to be approved. We know TreT is in trial and progressing. We also don't know what new deals they are working on. RLS is starting to show signs of life. Regarding the BRANDING CAMPAIGN.....Mike is thinking LONG TERM. He has a 5-10 year plan. This is part of that plan. Out of the box marketing is not really necessary plus you have too many restrictions from the FDA. I read on ST that in Brazil doctors can advertise (Print Media, Videos, Seminars, etc.) like crazy but in the US it's limited. We know how difficult insulin therapy is with Endos. If a doctor has a patient that is stable and in control of their therapy they are not going to change. The patient will have to initiate and that's even difficult. It's going to be a slow moving train to get people to switch. Where is the JDRF? Why aren't they pushing the Afrezza Therapy?? MNKD partnered with them 4 years ago. The Pediatric Approval will be the game changer for MNKD. Parents will love it because the kids don't have to worry about taking shots outside of the home. School nurses will love it. Actually there's probably less LIABILITY for the school districts. The story is really coming together. It's taking longer than expected but we now know how screwed up MNKD was and the repair that was needed. I believe Mike has built a strong foundation and now MKND is a Global Pharma Company.

ADA convention? Didn't mnkd decide to not go last year because all the doctors who attend are from outside the USA? MC never explained how he came to that conclusion. Will mnkd have a booth this year?

Will mnkd have a booth this year? That's what I recall. Assuming he was truth telling then, if MNKD did have a big booth and make "a BIG SPLASH at ADA with great news and excitement" this time, that may be less about impressing medical folk, than impressing investors.

We know how doctors think.....They want DATA, STUDIES and PUBLICATIONS. They want PEER REVIEWS for acceptance. If MNKD gets everything before ADA then they are set. You are correct MNKD did not have a booth last year but Mike and Company were there meeting with potential partners and doctors. I believe this year will be different.

@casper06 ..
I'm not sure you have a true grasp of what is reality..
I truly hope Mike has a plan.. look at what Novolog sells weekly compared to our laughable sales.. Sorry I don't mean to be negative. Just honest with myself and others.
There are people who know the truth about the problems with Afrezza sales.. patient use.. Endos not prescribing.. insurance not paying.. etc.
Mike needs an urgent plan .. not one that is out 5 to 10 years.. SHs will not stand for more dilution nor do I think this stock can handle that without dropping below 1$..
Yes we do have other things in the works.. thankfully.. though I'm not entirely sure it will be enough.. Endos will resist pediatric prescriptions just the same.. parents will have to fight for it.. as it stands many PWD STILL don't even know about Afrezza.. it's difficult marketing without big money to work with.
When I say out of the box.. I mean find ways to get around FDA restrictions.. FDA ties our hands way to much, therefore making it difficult to tell the true story.. We don't have the funds for large trial data..

Sweedee, I agree with everything you are saying, but I don't think it is fair the blame the FDA. MNKD never did the large trial that we ALL know is needed before mnkd can make the claims that it needs to make . The fact that mnkd cannot afford to do this is not the FDA's fault. No "plan" is going to fix this.
I wonder if mnkd could have funded the study with all the money they spent on Damon Dash, Indy 500, sporting event ads, Mr. Outsulin, and now the rebranding efforts.

I'm not blaming FDA.. it's more just a matter of fact. The restrictions make it difficult to market Afrezza...
I completely agree that management needed to spend what money we had wisely..

I believe Mike has built a strong foundation and now MKND is a Global Pharma Company. We also now know how during the time of being screwed up, people here on proboards swore everything was perfect, critics were shorts and riches were right around the corner. Hopefully things are improving rather than opinions still being out of touch.

We all know ADA is a pay-to-play scheme. ADA is really more like a slush fund than anything else.
Data? Clinical trials? Evidence? Just look at the dismal and unimpressive evidence ADA uses to justify its antiquated and barbaric SoC. For *uck sake just look at what the first line therapy is for T2D and the evidence (or lack thereof) supporting it, especially the pathetic evidence used for approving it here in the USA and making it the standard of care.
SGLT2 inhibitors, GLP1s, Metformin—all endocrine disruptors—with horrific safety profiles and terrible side effects. People are losing their arms and legs and toes, with this chit. Then there is the antiquated and barbaric mealtime insulin options...appears ADA doesn't know WTF they are doing with their PROVEN Treat to Failure SoC.

mango, I suspect (with no actual proof) that all of those horrific drugs you mentioned have undergone large expensive clinical trials. The ADA follows the FDA.
