Yes and 40%...minimum. That's not how I'd make Afrezza a blockbuster though. That would have been only the beginning. So all else being equal you think dropping the price by 40% would increase scripts by 67%? I guess in my mind there aren't that many people that pay out of pocket for whom such a price break would provide benefit... and there is the discount program through Eagle which offers much more than 40% discount. What is the issue with that program in your view? Why cut the price across the board rather than just for those paying out of pocket as Eagle program does?

As I said earlier, price reduction is only one step in a multi-pronged approach, portions of which I have recommended to previous CEOs. I will be finalizing a business strategy for presentation to the BoD. In the event they include me in their 2020 proxy material and they do not impose a NDA requirement, I will be seeking the board’s permission to share it with stockholders. Like all retail stockholders, I have no access yet to many details of the CEO’s current strategy.
I’m highly encouraged that we’ve begun marketing the company as a whole and, hopefully, CEO Castagna will be willing to reveal more at this week’s earnings conference.
What I’m seeing from the team is encouraging.

I should have made it clear that the OptumRx prices I posted are for the GE Plan for Health for GE Retirees and may not be true for other plans administered by Optum. However, GE is not known for being overly generous to its retirees, so I suspect that those prices may apply to other drug plans.

Also Afrezza is insulin so the standard shipping should be next day delivery (that has been true of every PBM I have had) rather than the usual ground delivery.

If only management would give us some metrics. Might even attract some investors to buy the stock.

I wonder if any PBMs should be nervous about RICO investigations and might want to be more willing to cover Afrezza?
