She has no medical or drug experience so she probably can't help sell afrezza. Maybe she was brought on to help sell mnkd. Ohhh, nice one Uvula! Well, I keep on pointing out, that the Afrezza sales going in the right direction (maybe not as fast as we hope, but it is a solid trend), but I really disliked some of the recent financing decissions..
There is still no good explanation for the 20% dilution Christmas present for example.. I would still love to know who got those shares. In any case handling the money better and having an expert for this on board sounds like a smart move to me! We likely still need some more financing just before the income is getting green and I vote for debt rather than dilution!

I wasn't certain where to put this, so I place this announcement here, as this seems as good a place as any. Earlier today I was notified today by MannKind Corporation that I was not selected by the board's Nominations and Corporation Governance Committee to be seated on the board or to be listed on the 2020 proxy. Frankly, this does not come as a surprise to me as I do not believe I am as qualified as other nominees. I would have enjoyed being an advocate for stockholders, though, and would have pushed for much greater transparency and accountability of the board of directors. Thank you for those who expressed their support. Good fortune all!

Thanks for your efforts. Sad that the board wouldn't even entertain the notion of giving common shareholders any semblance of control. I'm assuming nobody from HFM's nominees made the cut.

I was planning on using my votes for Mn, and so now that that will not be possible, I will be voting for Bill McCullough if he gets on the ballot.

Why in the world would a board support a movement to disrupt themselves? Self interest.

Did they give a reason why? I'm assuming there was enough shares supporting the nominations? This is just one reason ..they need at least three females on the board by the end of 2021 The committee is mindful of the mandate of California’s SB 826, which requires publicly traded companies headquartered in California to have at least three female directors by the end of 2021 if their board consists of six or more members. In its letter, the company stated: In evaluating candidates, the committee sought to advance the following priorities:
• Bring greater diversity to the Board
• Finance (investment banking) experience
• Experience with commercializing pharmaceutical/ biotechnology products (especially in the diabetes area)
• Digital health experience
• Managed care and health systems experience

It's always good to have balance.

Jennifer G's mind appears to be valuable regardless of her sexual equipment. Good going, Mannkind!

Interesting to read such wild speculations. IMO none of which will happen. MC stays on with continued support of the board. The ASM meeting comes and goes with no changes to the board. MNKD isn't going to be sold. Both Mannkind and VDex will each continue slow growth though completely independently. Longs will continue to look for good announcements regarding insurance, RLS, UTHR, new international shipments and deals, new pipeline molecules per the recent shift, juvenile progress and more. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy reading the wild speculations to pass the time. Oh, and the stock price finally jumps in 2020 Reminds me of the old Sonny and Cher song, "And the Beat Goes On."
