Hopeful Coronavirus News: Doctors Learn More About Treatment is the article on bloomberg.com/ by Faye Flam Article describes 2 subsets of patients with Coronavirus. One subset presents with symptoms of high altitude pulmonary edema which is associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Article mentioned an inhalable therapy being tried in the subset of patients presenting in this way. My understanding is that the gold standard treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension is United Therapeutics Treponistil. UT is developing an inhalable from of this drug in partnership with Mankind Corporation and their unique inhaler. Do we know if the drug being tested is the inhalable form of Treponistil? Article describes Dr. Luciano Gattinoni, an intensive care doctor and guest professor at the University of Gottingen in Germany, in the journal Intensive Care Medicine. Turns out we want the conversion to angiotensin 1-9 1-7. When inhibited through the ACE2 pro inflammatory vasoconstriction occurs. The pink represents hyaline membrane disease. Proteins, dead cells. The yellow, the fluid from the leaky cell membrane. The neutrophil has moved in the macrophage putting out proteins/cytokines. The little purple dots in the capillary are thrombi, tiny little clots that form. The PULMONARY arteries constrict because of so much angiotensin 2. further reducing oxygenation. 1. inflammation from ARDS 2. micro thrombi, clots 3. pulmonary vasoconstriction, pulmonary hypertension.
==================================================================================================== Crazy thing I see here. The people that present with head ache, Head ache is vasodilation, These people are on the better side.

Thanks peppy, I was never good at biology and still can’t comprehend it. Does any of it have relevance to MNKD? (That’s fine if not, it’ll save me from trying to follow that stuff that’s greek to me 🤣)

Look at Peppy's last slide above at Pulmonary Vasodilators. It is possible that inhaled prostacyclin could be Tyvaso or TreT.

my list for self managing COVID 19 at home. 1. thermometer. 2. pulse oximeter. if I had to, an O2 condenser and a nasal canula. prednisone, viagra. On March 15 and 16, I contacted both my local public department of health and primary care doctor to report on my illness with detailed information on my travel/whereabouts and activities as my symptoms seemed to match 99% of those being reported for Covid-19. There were a few symptoms I actually missed in my early report as I initially thought them of little consequence, but have since realized they may have been useful. So, yes, that what you have mentioned may have been helpful to me. Pretty certain that was not working along with my sense of smell and taste. Just saying... PS - local department of public health told me they were not diagnosing symptoms and to call my primary care doctor, my primary care doctor basically told me I was not rich or famous enough to be tested, so here I am with no proof of being infected and really no proof of being imprisoned in my house either.
