In the typical fashion people are already spinning it on Stocktwits like its something good, personally I can’t think of anything worse. But we will get the word out. So glad I sold out at This last spike. Years of hell and frustration watching Kresa and Castagna’s unbelievable And shocking incompetence displayed on a daily basis. Kendall was our last hope. They very well may be selling Afrezza.

Can't blame you LeAnne or anyone else. Mannkind continues to stumble over their own shoe laces. What a sad spectacle this has been.

Sky is falling again!?

I don't think the sky is falling. It looks like Medtronic has done a lot of the work setting up the T2 market for CGM reimbursement and nothing makes the 670 work better than afrezza. Time will tell but a Medtronic buyout at this point in time would make sense if they want a real shot at controlling the market.

Then you have an issue with DXCM or Abbott. Any type of deal would not be Exclusive. I don't see MDT buying MNKD.

MDT is a devices company. I see no reason they would buy into the drug market. If you think they're trying to do something with pumps and Afrezza then watch the 780g to see where they go with that.

If Mannkind is going to pivot to being a drug delivery company this move makes sense because that's what he has always done. For a diabetes company it makes a lot less sense since he only has about a total of six years experience in the diabetes market, and that is in the device rather than insulin side.

I think the lesson Mike has learned is selling afrezza has been an up hill battle. I think the lesson Dave Kendall learned was this was not as easy a job as he once thought. Getting the SoC changed has been a battle. At the same time what Medtronic is facing is near flat US diabetes sales and needs to do something. How is Medtronic going to make any money when more and more companies enter the market? www.healthline.com/diabetesmine/new-cgms-ascensia-agamatrixIt seems to me Medtronic needs to make a bold move and Mike needs an exit strategy. What we all know is afrezza and the CGM are like peanut butter and jelly. Then again so are afrezza and the 680 as it will be with the 780 too. We also know Medtronic did well with Al's last company. Why did Galindo come to MNKD?

Why did Galindo come to MNKD? You answered your own question. Lol....... Covid is an interesting situation. Will a company like Medtronic know now to monetize a novel drug delivery system? I guess we know they did it with Mini-Med...... Medtronic has lots of cash and experience in every area of healthcare. You can bet they know how to monetize something as novel as Technosphere. They are into selling products that have a high consumable nature.

Looking at slide 24 which you posted yesterday raises the question where is Medtronic with Sugar IQ?
Partnering afrezza with Sugar IQ and the Guardian seems like a winner to me. Maybe Galindo thinks so too. GLP1, SGLT2 and other insulin manufacturers may not like the results but this Triad would radically change T2 treatment. Who knows but maybe they can even show stopping the progression in many and in some cases maybe even regression.
If Medtronic can pull this Triad together I bet they would sell a lot of CGMs.

IMO Medtronic lost the CGM war and DXCM is too far ahead with the G7. The only reason people use the Guardians are because they have a MDT pump. They hurt more, rip out easier, and are less accurate.

More, "the realist who uses these things". Maybe that's why Aged and I are alike. You look and think "this would be cool for PWD because..." without first hand knowledge of that world. We've both lived it and continue to live it. Notice I didn't say that Afrezza doesn't go well with the 670g (SayHey, it's the 670 and 780 not 680, I know it's stupid naming) because it does. But the Guardian sensors suck. Go browse any diabetes forum and look for people who are raving about them and then look for the hate. Now do that for the Libre or the Dexcom. Actually go put on a Guardian sensor please and find out why it's referred to as "the harpoon". My thoughts on the main topic are neutral. I'd imagine he's in for Bluhale or technosphere. No good or bad there. If you want to see roses where there are none and invest your money blindly please be my guest. But I'd imagine you'd kind of want to look at reality more than fantasy because everything I've said since joining here has held true. Every time I was "negative" saying something wouldn't work it then didn't work. So unless you think I have super powers to force my thoughts to reality maybe you should listen.
