This was suggested and discussed on this board about two years ago as one option to improve the cash situation without requiring traditional fund raising dilution. Some suggested the valuation of the plant would be too low to make this worthwhile. Others disagreed. I see this as a bridge potential between now and when revenue increases allowing the company to possibly buy back the lease and plant at the pre-determined price. Interesting that it's now being considered.

One last dilution of 10%. Just place the 30 million shares at $2 each to give us $60 Million in funds for the pediatric trial and our final run to profitability. Like a bandage. Right off.
Just kidding.....kinda. I just want the guessing to be over.

I am still wondering why we are in Socal. Move to Danbury, save money on rent we also get closer to UTHR. But, alas the need to attract talent as stated by MC, is greater than the need to preserve much needed capital.
I also question the inability to continue to the pediatric trials. UTHR is able to complete the Breeze study, yet we wait and wait some more for something of importance to develop, which sadly always disappoints.
It might be time to get the whole damn BOD and company shuffled around. New blood and new ideas on how to best promote the near $2b investment and subsequent development of the miracle that is called Afrezza. I see it, we see it, the rest of the world barely bats an eye lash. Not to finally mention, there were NO sales to Brazil. Umm, priced the drug where less than 10% of Brazilian diabetics can afford it, not mention we need penetration in places where the drug can actually be afforded and equally welcomed. Namely, East Asia; Korea, Japan, and China.
I am done. See you at the next quarterly.

Surprised about the negative reaction to the call.
Pipeline is moving forward. That’s the biggie.
Afrezza metrics are improving even with flat sales. Afrezza initiatives should help. Peds and tret catalysts are on the horizon.

The CC was good and MNKD rec'd a couple of congratulations. My biggest "READ BETWEEN THE LINES"......DILUTION is COMING Last Week of December. Mike mentioned they haven't raised money in 2 years (if you don't include the ATM last qtr). I believe they are going to fund the start of the Pediatrics Trial until the stock price is higher and bring in an equity partner.
Let's see........
OBTW - I'm not back

Interesting that it's now being considered. Right, and I believe matt (could be some one else) who read the docs said the plant was held as collateral by the lender at that time (forgot the name), and hence it was not possible to do so. May be things have changed? After a long time, I skipped their CC (may be 2nd/3rd time?). I still have a bunch of shares, but gotten off with the crazy addiction! Hopefully they will get us *some* return by 2022/23?

Our /mnkd’s business model is predicated on that factory.. that must be one hell of a lease ... there’s not more to the picture! Somehow the lease goes bad , it’s lights out .🤔 take the equipment and start over somewhere else !
