Bought 100 May '22 $3 calls today in anticipation of rolling out of my Nov 19th $2 calls, catalyst trades, still very long shares for the duration...most likely generational shares in trust at this point. Still smh when dining out and no one knows about inhalable insulin. This years WSOP started last week, was playing event with another T2 who was shocked when I was taking my Afrezza at the table after our break...someday this won't remain a secret 🤷🏻♂️😉 I've decided to exercise my $2 options in addition to holding the $3 May calls I purchased. So guess I'll be adding 10K shares into the weekend 🤷🏻♂️.

You own 59 stocks? How do you keep up with news related to so many? I struggle to keep up with 8-10 at any one time.

I struggle to keep up with 8-10 at any one time.Volume, MNKD: real time: 504,242 summary: 859,963 $4.695. -0.065 As of 3:43 PM EST. ---------------------------------------- So many questions boca1girl ! Really, I struggle to keep up with ~10 at a time, my rule when I started investing was to have between 3-15 individual stocks at a time. That actually kept things manageable. My account at that time was with BuyandHold.com. They had advisory services but I never paid extra to use them. Just picked individual stocks and my 3-15 rule worked okay. B&H discontinued/sold their business to Folio Investing and I went along for the ride. Folio was interesting and new at that time (I think M1 has the closest thing to their model right now). They had pre-made folios of 5 to 100 stocks with different sectors, investment horizons, dividend yields, etc. I sometimes invested only $50 or $100 and that would spread (according to the investment objectives of the folio) across all the stocks in the folio as fractional shares (some were even %distributions, some folios had uneven %distributions). There was a "one-button" rebalance. I miss that. I could rebalance proportionately or according to folio objectives. Same with adding to a folio, could rebalance when putting money in. Oh, and they would notify when they were rebalancing so all I had to do was go in and click a button. Oh, and the rebalance would attempt to keep your capital gains/losses at zero for tax purposes. Tax losses for dummies - Folio called it their patented Tax Football, a visual representation of your account on an X/Y axis, shaped like a lopsided football with gains above and losses below the axis. You could click on the graphic and it would automagically figure out how to balance capital gains against tax lots with losses and give you a list of transactions that you could then edit. So, with only a handful of Folios (Internet, Aerospace, Biotechnology, Dividend, Residential REIT), I could hold a lot of stocks and have professional selections, and invest small or large amounts of money when I had it. Folio sold out to GS (yes, the big one) in 2020, informed customers they were no longer handling consumer accounts and sold them off to IBKR (I won't detail the IBKR part of the story here). Being unhappy with my account transfer to IBKR, I then initiated an account transfer to Fidelity. Because of the individual Folios I had previously held and my 3-15 handpicked holdings, I held over 150+ stocks when the account transferred. The folios were unique to Folio, but to the other brokerages, they were just getting a transfer of a lot of individual stocks no longer in a folio. So at Fidelity, I've made really good use of their "Positions" page. Each data column is sortable (I know you know that). I can sort by $gains/losses, %gains/losses, % of account, # of shares, dividend %, and see a small graphic of 52-week performance which is also sortable. I've whittled down from 150+ stocks to now only 59. Mostly the low hanging fruit at this point. First stocks that were longer term holdings that were showing some loss. Then anything that had small % gains over a year or longer period. I've also been finding my tax lots on the "Positions" page and have been able to do all of this without incurring tax liabilities on my sales. I've got more work to do and will be trying to get positions cut in half again by the end of the year, just not sure how tricky that will be with the tax lots.
