MNKD is going to triple in 2 years due to Tyvaso DPI. I am long. I think you are correct, Clement. MNKD is holding what is going to be the crown jewel of UTHR’s products, Tyvaso DPI. This is a big deal and is what is driving MNKD share price. MC is not likely to bungle this because he is not in charge. Martine is, and she knows how to run a company and knows how to sell a drug. UTHR is rated a strong buy or buy by most analysts covering it. MNKD can succeed despite MC’s utter failure with Afrezza. 👍🏻

March 1st 2020 MNKD price $1.03 todays current price $4.03....I'll take this percentage gain for a few years. Take a peek at the yearly and smile at the little fellas "outrage".

I don’t understand how the mood here swings from CC to CC. Is MannKind better off than it was 3 months ago? 6 months ago? 1 year ago? Are we guiding to where the next 3 months, 6 months and 1 year are better than they are now?
In every way possible, I think we are better off than we’ve ever been. We have a second revenue stream from an FDA-approved, partner product in our sales bag. We are progressing our third FDA-approved product revenue stream of royalties + manufacturing margin. Our pipeline is as robust as it has ever been. We are working with multiple partners on our platform, which can turn into new licensing deals. We have hundreds of millions of cash in the bank and a far more favorable financial position . And our SHARE PRICE is UP 3.5x over the past year.
I understand the frustration that Afrezza sales aren’t increasing. Part of the drop was guided by management (I believe it was 15% script reduction due to getting rid of free pay program). Part of it is re-ramping up sales team post COVID. The company definitely needs to get better at physician education and sales and marketing. But as important as Afrezza is and as big as we know it can - and WILL - become, it is not the whole story anymore. No need to treat it as such.
Lastly, a lot of people who want to give Mike the blame for everything bad that happens but none of the credit for positive developments. That’s not how it works. As the CEO, he is responsible for everything that happens in the entire company - all of the bad, and all of the good. He’s led our restructuring to who we are now, he’s led our transformation into a new, multi-faceted company with multiple revenue streams. He’s given me confidence that although Afrezza sales have been challenging, he’s not going to give up on the drug - which is important to me because of how much I believe Afrezza will revolutionize healthcare. And he’s learned a lot of lessons over the past few years - we all have - that inform his new strategy and plan for how we market and sell Afrezza with a focus on making small bets, and scaling up what is proven to work.
I think the future of MannKind is as bright as ever - I didn’t hear one thing in the CC that changed that. We will get better at marketing and selling Afrezza and our partner product over the rest of the year with cash to invest, improved capability in sales and marketing, and no COVID. We have Tyvaso approval to look forward to along with Manufacturing ramp-up in the shorter-term. Other partners including RLS, UTHR, and names TBD who are already experimenting with our platform may add new shots on goal for additional revenue streams. This year we should increase Afrezza sales, get Tyvaso approved, and continue to drive new opportunities from the platform. If the first doesn’t happen, the second two will still drive value. This company has been significantly derisked over the years while the upside is still there. I thank Mike and all of MannKind for their efforts and accomplishments in this journey.

I was letting the shorts talk so I could get my low ball order filled. Well it looks like we are headed back up so that's not going to happen. So ... like I said before. I don't have a problem with Mike C and I think he really saved all of us. MNKD isn't all about Afrezza anymore and I see double digit royalties on the horizon. The future looks really GREAT to me !!! AND, my 82 cent shares is almost quintupled. If we triple in 2 years ... that means my shares will have fifteentupled. You get the idea ... But, that's mytakeonit

However, Lizzy, my alter ego, remembers well, the way down. You bought higher and rode MNKD down, like many. If you are a news hound you might recognize this quote, "Who do you think you are talking to?" I have a bent sense of humor.

Ha Ha ... and yes, I have just about 1M shares with an average cost under $3. And when I sell those 10k high costing shares ... what will be my average cost then They are on sale now at $8 - $10. And, this sale is to wipe out that $272k gain that I got the other month. But, that's mytakeonit

Same boat MTOI, though at a different stage of my life and with fewer shares. I’ve been in since pre- FDA approval like many others here. As the price dropped over the years, I loaded up and dollar-cost averaged down. Because of this I am now very comfortably in the green on my investment with a cost-basis 1/10 of what it would be had this company not made the share price “trip to hell” over the last few years. And my current return is peanuts compared to what I expect is coming over the next few years.
Everyone’s circumstances are different and everyone played this differently. But those of us who bought low saw the trip to the bottom to be a few-in-a-lifetime gift, not punishment. And now we are only starting to enjoy the rewards. For those who feel they missed out, in my opinion you still have time. I expect we’ll look back at $4 / share as a gift one day too.

+17% is sure looking a lot better than -%60 in my account, no doubt about it

I’m afraid I find this board silly with negativity now. I very rarely check it and this will likely be my last post. Best of luck to all long shareholders..
