The reason MC got a lot of criticism over the Christmas massacre was because of what he told shareholders personally in emails. Right or soon before the dilution. I was not one of them but I saw proof that those emails were sent to David Thompson. These were very large shareholders out of the New York and Illinois area. I may be wrong, but didn’t MC say in a CC just days before the Christmas Massacre that there was no need for dilution or there would be no dilution? Something to that effect? There was that also. The shareholders felt blindsided. Now maybe Mike was blindsided by the fact he had to do it, but something drastically changed! Because saying he was bullish to the shareholders is a understatement.

Sports - I don't know what he told other shareholders but if he did as you say that was a huge mistake. At the time, the discussions I was having was the near term future had too many uncertainties and MNKD could really use the money and money was available. Just 6 months earlier it sure seemed MNKD had a pretty good chance of putting the closed sign on the front door until UTHR threw them a lifeline.
Then again large shareholders out of NY and Chicago should have been aware of what other large shareholders like those out of the Phildelphia area knew and that was MNKD needed money and they should have been happy Mike kept the lights on.
Given the right marketing plans; T1; T1 kids; early T2s; the "pre" diabetics; and later stage T2s afrezza has a fighting chance to be huge. If that closed sign went up and the much anticipated fire sale happened it would have been very sad. If they can crack one of those markets it will be time for a little celebration. If its the early T2s, afrezza is off to the moon. Mike needs to get those T2s Abbott is now pitching the Libre to on TV.

I’m positive they were not aware of that, as you say maybe they should’ve been but that’s not what Mike was portraying. Of course who would portray that🤷🏼♀️ Out of generosity of spirit I often wondered if there was something else that fell through at the last moment. A deal or partnership..IDK

So it was either of these things, none are good options...
1) Mike lying 2) Mike incompetent 3) Mike counting his chickens before they hatched

Mango - I believe you are correct and if we pull the transcript it probably says at that time he saw no need for dilution, which was probably true but going into 2019 there were too many ifs and you never want to try and raise money when you are desperate. Right now we are in a much better place.
Even back in 2019 by the end of February the pps had mostly recovered. I am not sure in retrospect I would call it a massacre but rather a slight flesh wound. That 1 for 5 reverse split was a killer.

I’m agreeing with the reverse split was a killer… And I think said to be of strength. A lot of BS going on back then. Remember aegis🤣

When Mike C said "No dilution" ... I sold half my holdings. After the dust cleared ... I bought a lot of shares under a buck. Now, I'm overloaded with wine.
But, that's mytakeonit

Pguererro vs Newsletter Nate vs mytakeonit & clan? To date, Pguererro hands down for accuracy vs fluff. I am unable to find anything wrong with taking the time to understand both the short & long thesis and subsequently coming up with my own investment decisions. Right or wrong--I own it. Going forward the analysts covering UTHR must factor in the MNKD relationship-expecting some good reads and likely new analyst coverage & upgrades for mnkd. We'll see? buenas suerte (sorry for the typos English is my third language) This sounds fairly bogus to me. In any case, the analyst coverage and upgrades are already in. They said the same thing as 'NSYNC" ... BUY BUY BUY. As for myself and people from Hawaii ... our language of choice is "Pidgin English". Here is an example: "Eh Bra ... Howzit going?" Translation: Hello friend ... How are you today? But, that's mytakeonit

Let's be clear, no company has ever reverse split from a position of strength.

I thought he was a total failure and except for his personal relationship to Al, he had no place to be CEO of anything.
