BTW, since we all are going to make a ton of $$$ soon ... or, already did and will make more soon. Don't forget to make donations to help those in need. I had a remembrance dream last night ... I was at the hospital to pick up my dad who was getting discharged. The nurses advised me that I could go to the cashier to sign him out and they'll be wheeling him out shortly. At the cashier there was this elderly lady who was digging thru her purse and pulling out change. The cashier seeing me waiting asked her to go to the bench until she was ready to make her payment. I asked the cashier what that was all about. She said that the lady has an old bill and comes every week to make a payment. I asked her how much she owes ... and she replied that she owed $301. I told her "Heck, that's nuts. I'll pay her bill for her but don't tell her that I did it." The nurse was amazed that I would do that and said that she could adjust the bill if I paid $150. "You can do that? I don't want you to get into trouble." She replied that she'll advise the doctor about it ... and said, "They make so much money anyway and this is probably all late payment charges." The cashier called the lady back and told her that her bill was cleared and that she doesn't owe anymore on it. The lady cried. Heck, I almost cried too. Maybe I shouldn't have paid the bill and then she wouldn't have cried. Ha! (I also will be making a huge donation to the Hawaii Foodbank who feed a lot of people.) But, that's mytakeonit

But, that's mytakeonit My lawn/yard man was sick with COVID and couldn't get to me for 2-3 weeks. He's dirt poor, lives 20 miles away and makes a special trip to the coast just to maintain my yard every week. He's the same man that's been taking care of me and my family for over a decade. I pulled up to my driveway last Monday and saw him sitting in a chair under a shade tree...talking with my wife. He's lost weight, I could see it in his face and this was the first time I have seen him since he got sick. He's a deeply religious man, a deacon at his church in Pahokee, FL and life for him has not been easy. He's done things as a young man that put him in prison for too long but, those were in the 70's. We chatted for a while as he drank several bottles of cold water that my wife gave him...the heat index pushing 100 degrees in August in SoFL. After chatting with him myself, I went inside, opened my safe and grabbed some money while my wife continued to talk with him. I walked back out, whispered to my wife, "Watch this" and walked over to him and gave him $500 just as he raised his hand and said "five". The timing was a miracle and I interrupted and said, "You must mean the $500 dollars?" I had no idea what they were talking about but there must have been a reason I grabbed $500. I put it in his hand and told him, "This is for the weeks of work you missed due to no fault of your own." He cried and sobbed. He spoke about his former life as a criminal and my life as a 30 year LEO (now retired) and how are live's came together. It was more of a blessing to me....to be able to give. My hard work and investments in my life have made it possible to give to others. Everyone should do it...
