So I guess what your saying is they (BP) doesn’t see it as a disruptive technology And will stick to what they have (SOC) so what’s their worry ? (PEPPY) How does BP see afrezza, the way I see it..... Cornered. Do I think BP sees technosphere as a disruptive technology? With UTHR and now a respiratory pandemic that still needs to be quilled, I am thinking BP is very interested.

Imagine, Walmart cvs , Amazon ,ECT … OTC AND VDEX With a great retail presents … cgm’s point of purchase on the shelves …( VDEX is established and real ..head start ) And a MASSIVE add campaign like the vegetable pills … and pillows 😀. Now ! I think we would give BP SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT . NOT SO FAR FETCHED WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT . It’s almost all there.. just needs to be implemented. health.ucsd.edu/news/features/pages/2013-12-10-available-without-prescription.aspxOTC drugs generally target short-term conditions with easily recognized symptoms, such as a headache or runny nose. Chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes, are more problematic. The problem with making drugs relevant to these conditions OTC is that it would require patients to understand complex aspects of their disease and its treatment. That’s hard to do and helps explain why a hugely popular prescription drug like atorvastatin (Lipitor) and other statins are not likely to become OTC anytime soon.
Before 1951, there was no clear-cut distinction between prescription and OTC drugs. Then the law was amended to require that drugs that can’t be used safely without professional supervision be dispensed only by prescription. These drugs tend to be habit-forming or toxic, have a great potential for harmful effects or treat medical conditions that can’t be readily self-diagnosed.
By law, all other drugs can be sold OTC. Indeed, a drug must be made available without prescription if, by following the labeling, consumers can use it safely and effectively without professional guidance.

That vegetable pill commercial is the best commercial I have ever seen! Something of nature? ….It always starts out with a story and the story is so compelling. I was imagining Afrezza in a commercial like that.

That vegetable pill commercial is the best commercial I have ever seen! Something of nature? ….It always starts out with a story and the story is so compelling. I was imagining Afrezza in a commercial like that. I think I agree. With the inevitable increased money flow coming in I would love to see a national ad showcasing a compelling, dramatic, unprecedented, authentic NEW product. Even though Afrezza is going on 7+ years of approval the 'users' can talk about how they found out about it (new and old users) and what it has meant to them. This will work because, as we all know, the awareness of Afrezza for diabetics is still very low. I believe one of the keys to a great story is putting the viewer in a position of imagining that they are actually that person -they can relate to the same the emotions/feelings that person is going through. A strong beginning, middle, and end. The problem, the discovery, and the solution/outcome. Really putting yourself in the shoes of the consumer.
From what we have all seen, I'm absolutely sure Afrezza has completely changed people's lives. Would love to see non-diabetics get this same relatable feeling inside that they start telling diabetics they know in real life about it. How many diabetic commercials are being run constantly on TV ? When they are blasted constantly at us we remember them, but once they stop airing we tend to forget about them, even the catchy tunes and the lawnmower dude
- With admin OK I might make a separate thread on this if its worth it

The latest update of the INHALE-1 Study was posted on clinicaltrials.gov on April 1. Since November eight more testing sites have begun recruiting patients, half of which are new sites added to the list. This has more than doubled the number of sites reported recruiting in late November. As of the end of March, 15 of the 17 listed sites are recruiting and only two are not yet recruiting.
It looks like INHALE-1 is pretty much fully up and running.

Question of ignorance. Does the trial need to wait until it gets 100% of the needed participants or can they start each new participant as they join?
If it's the former that seems counter productive and a time waster.

If it's the former that seems counter productive and a time waster. Usually, trials are rolling enrollment and rolling data gathering. There's no gathering a base and then starting, since each patient is screened, qualified and on-boarded, individually.
