Thank you all! This is for a type 1 I just met. So what would be the best link to point them to so they understand why afrezza is so different and effective? So, just curious, do any of you Afrezza evangelists give an upfront disclaimer that you are [heavily] invested in MNKD? I do btw. In my experience people that ask that are hesitant to approach others, not saying that’s true in your case. Of course but that takes longer than two minutes, you can explain that it’s Mannkind that manufactures the drug and that you own stock in the company… then of course they wanna own stock too so all the merrier:-) I mean really who wouldn’t especially if you understand insulin. I’m a stock market person so anytime I find a product that I think is excellent I check out which company owns that product to see if I want to invest. One of my Mannkind Long friends used to constantly ask me this ….”But I own MNKD shares so they’re not going to believe me” I’m like what? I think it’s a huge plus! I guess it all depends on how you look at it. |

Boom boom, that’s a really good article for T1’s. An entire cartridge is 24-units? Hmmmm. “For higher-carb meals, I’ll use up to a whole cartridge (24 units) when I see the CGM start to trend up. It sounds like a lot – 24 units? – but in my experience Afrezza units are maybe half as powerful as injected insulin. So that 24 units is really the equivalent of 12-15 units of NovoLog, which is what I was taking for big meals before.” It’s 12 units for the highest cartridge and I don’t believe the other information is correct either. Although I really can’t speak to this because each person is different. Although at one point Mike talked about a 24 unit. |
