ADA is a waste of money, IMO. ADA does not care about MannKind and Afrezza. ADA is a Pay to Play machine.

ADA is like any other trade show. Its usually other vendors looking at other vendors products. Its also about making industry contacts and private meetings to setup deals. If Mike gets the opportunity to meet and talk to someone like Robert Ford and open the discussion on afrezza 2024 Medicare coverage and how that can help sell CGMs, IMO it was a trip well spent. If Albert Bourla says-hey Mike, tell me about the GLP-1 study I am hearing about that Mannkind did 15 years ago, its IMO money well spent.
The reality is MNKD bought a company and added a new product to the sales reps bags for 2023. You would think we would want to show case our new product and talk it up. The reality is nope. No booth, no papers on it, nothing. Matt Pfeifer once said we have an embarrassment of riches. Maybe V-Go is just an embarrassment.

I thought it was during the same presentation where VDex was introduced and they would have 100 offices open in a year. |

IMO, what was said remains true as does the fact that management has not yet figured out the secret of how to extract the gold, riches, etc. It does appear the various management teams have continued to make some progress though at glacial speed. Where's Indiana Jones when we need him?

Does anybody know if/when anything was or will be announced about posters, papers, et cetera, from MannKind for ADA, or is this a non-issue? Since we’re drifting down memory lane I’m wondering if it is time to lock the thread, or keep it open until after ADA.

That may have been what happened, probably was, but it was before my time. All I remember is a couple years ago Bill told me he never said that. I also remember before I was with Vdex, years before... I heard through the grapevine some big doctors in New York pulled out of the deal, but you can’t believe anything you hear. My feeling is they jumped the gun on announcing it, and it was nowhere near finalized. And Bill was not OK with announcing it until it was a done deal. Matt was on board for sure. |
