MTOI has said many times we would be at $10 by the end of the year, so I don’t believe in his concept of “cheap”.
Many people have been calling the low since we fell below $5, yet it keeps bleeding out downwards.
“Blood in the streets”? The S&P is up 24% for the year in one of the best years in recent history for the market. MNKD is down over 30%. There isn’t some mass panic selling here, just lowered expectations and a complete lack of tangible internal catalysts.

That’s a huge drop. Which means they took Mannkind off their watchlist because they probably sold, …just because you have it on your watchlist does not mean that you have to read the stuff that’s on there.

There's an irony to this chatter, regardless investors have to know when to admit the year was not stellar. I'm perfectly fine with the chatter, as I look at the source and then realize this is their moment to rise and shine. Heck, the last few years have been nothing but solid returns and I know doubt asked the same of the non-believers to acknowledge the prior years in which I too looked at SP as a measure of performance. "What's good for the goose...."
For instance, let's take a look back and do some of the same comparison's:
2020 S&P was up +15% Vs. MNKD was up +137%
2021 S&P was +26% Vs. MNKD was +41%,
2022 S&P was -19.6% Vs. MNKD was +21.17%
2023 S&P was +23% Vs. MNKD -30%
Totals: S&P +45% Vs. MNKD +169%
This was not MNKDs year yet, still many here will judge and make a comment that the data is cherry picked. But, we're talking about Mike, right? So, we're also talking about SP as the measure, right? If I'm cherry picking data, it's to affirm your very same methodologies, SP and Mike as the common denominator.
I know it's "what have you done for me lately" with many investors, as it should be. I'm not here to make anyone believe Mike walks on water, but at the same time, he's not a one man wrecking ball either. The irony is in the total performance since Mike has taken over at the helm looking back since May 2017 (SP opened in May 2017 at 0.86) with all of his efforts, some good and some not so good, we close out another year and still finish +326% ($3.64) since he took over six years ago. Sorry, if you want to spin this as having bought in before Mike and you wet the bed. That's not Mike, that's you.
