The memorable lines from Mike at the Cantor Fitzgerald Conference were:
The next twelve to eighteen months are going to be amazing to our company and to our shareholders and employees.
[Regarding DPI production] Every quarter from here on out the capacity is going to exponentially increase.

Sounds great but if "exponentially" is a quote, I have to assume he was indulging in hyperbole.

It sounded like production was backed up at different phases waiting for additional equipment installation then would move quickly to the next phase. Mike did a pretty detailed explanation of what was happening and was pretty clear on exponential growth. Its worth a listen if you want to know whats up in Danbury.

Sounds great but if "exponentially" is a quote, I have to assume he was indulging in hyperbole. Did you listen to the conference ? Not yet, but if we think in terms of exponents and production capacity, "exponential" is not likely to apply to capacity and performance increases.
For example, if we measure performance of Danbury as producing 120,000 doses of Tyvaso DPI per month (the amount for 1,000 patients taking 4 doses per day, multiplied by 30 days) and then begin with the lowest meaningful integer exponent of 2, then for the capacity/performance of Danbury to grow "exponentially" would mean the next step in manufacturing performance would be 120,000 x 120,000 = 14.4 BILLION doses per month.
If we think of the next step as being exponentially larger than the original capacity but raised to the power of 3 instead of the power of 2 (squared), then the next step up in performance would be 1,728,000,000,000,000. That's 1.728 QUADRILLION doses per month.
Let me know if I'm doing the math wrong. If I'm doing it right, then yeah, I think saying production capacity will grow exponentially is quite possibly hyperbole.

I think it’s less the exact terminology as opposed to huge numbers different to the upside. Obv not billions of doses, but substantially higher than current in a pretty short time frame

Since there is zero chance it simply meant growing 'more and more rapidly' I will go out on a limb here and say that you are going to put no effort into streaming the conference and continue to make circumlocution posts.

At the beginning of the Cantor conference Olivia quickly jumps to Nintedanib and Mike mentions Evelyn just raised 175 mill and it made him very happy. Who is evelyn? Then at the very end of the conference Oliva brings up Nintedanib again stating that it could be a very interesting program maybe sooner than later, and Mike follows up with coming out of the fibrosis conference and meeting with the thought leaders there is alot of interest in our inhaled program. Does Olivia know something?

There is alot of information in this conference. Seems to me more than what was available in Morgan Stanley conference.

Relax. I’ll make time to listen but I also have a life. And yeah, I’ll admit it. I was being pedantic. I have to say I found it odd to be questioned about not appreciating a hyperbolic turn of phrase. I’ve been staunchly supportive of MannKind’s CEO, and it is nice that he’s enthusiastic, but flat out, saying “exponentially increase” was not a great choice of words. It’s kind of out of character too. Mike’s generally been more conservative. Early on he gave guidance that was missed, and I’m guessing he was assuming more would be accomplished on good faith, but it seemed like after that he went more with under promise and over deliver and I definitely appreciate that. Money talks and bullshit walks. So I’m cautiously optimistic because he’s obviously very optimistic and that’s all good, but this is MannKind.

For the record gorman you are correct. But might’ve been better if I’d questioned it instead of you, would’ve been more in character LOL. Let’s sign up mike for some vocab lessons, more importantly let’s hope his exuberance is warranted even if he chose the wrong word.

That exponential was qtr over qtr not day over day if thats possible?
