The fact that Mike Constanga got divorced was pointed out in a couple other threads and I thought that news is deserving of its own thread.
I do truly feel very bad for Mike. Divorce is a very painful event/process. I am just concerned that Mike will find it difficult to remain focused on the ball as MNKD finally makes the turn to profitability and double-digit stock price just months (not years) away.

I have no idea about the divorce but another point of view might be that Mike was TOO focused on making MNKD profitable and that was what caused his marriage to go bad.

Very sorry to hear of Mike's divorce, very! Yet, there is the old saying, "It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good." We'll have to see if domestic affairs affect focus. My guess is Mike will continue doing a good job - - put me in the "I like Mike!" club.

We don't know what happened in his private life, nor should we. Let's just judge him on MNKD's results, nothing more, nothing less. Speculating on his mindset or the reasons why he got divorced is kinda pointless and will lead to bad assumptions.

As we seem to now be in the aftermath of the divorce (rather than in the thick of it), I suspect Mike is probably less distracted than he was a while ago. Now if he just stays married to MNKD...

I agree. The worst pain and distraction was probably long before the divorce decree (which has already happened). |

Right you all are. Although signing over 10k of shares every month can be an ongoing reminder. But, maybe this will be a good thing for his longer-term focus and "commitment" to our happy stock price.  |

An alternate possibility:
Mike did get divorced a few years ago, which was early during his tenure as Mannkind's CEO, and then subsequently re-married. IIRC, both events were discussed on this forum.
So perhaps his ex-spouse (and her attorney) now see that the time is right for an opportunity to dig into the 2.5 million MNKD shares accumulated by Mike.
So perhaps the current "divorce decree" could actually be a "revised divorce decree" from the earlier marriage?

Bottom line is liquidating stocks at this price is not good if sp is extremely under valued or is it fairly valued and its not going up unless mnkd only partner is UTHR.

What is the old saying, many reason to sell only one reason to buy. Guess we finally know MC reason for selling. With the amount of shares he owns I doubt we have seen the end of his transferring shares to his ex to satisfy a divorce decree(note it says transfer not sell). I am surprised it isn't more, if his ex got half there is another 1 million shares to go. Also his other sells make sense as well, probably had to get a new place to live etc. Well as the other old joke goes, "Why is divorce so expensive? Cause it is worth it."
