Can't remember who, but someone here posted a remark sometime back within this year describing similar activity as perhaps evidence of "quiet accumulation" which I will describe as a "measured add to a position". i.e., buy a little, then stop, then buy a little more, then stop, until the desired position is achieved over some days or weeks without driving the share price up.

I’m curious to see whether SIR is increasing and contributing to average volume on what I would have guessed would be lower than average action. Given the tepid EPS outlook, its ready-made fodder for FUD and shorting.
