I can be a bit of a laggard sometimes, so I expect this is not news to most of you; however, it was to me so in case anyone else might be in my boat, I thought I'd mention it.
The board works really well on a phone now. Perhaps it's due to PB having been acquired a few years back, with the acquiring outfit doing the updating. But as of a few years ago, there was no mobile version that it switched to automatically if you browse on a phone, so you were basically using the laptop interface on a phone, which sucked. At one point there was an app, I don't even remember what it was called, that was semi-usable, but then that went away (perhaps at the same time the main page became mobile-enabled?)
Anyway, I'd been avoiding any attempts to visit the board on a phone for years; then, the other day, I was on the beach and really wanted to check something, and lo and behold, it worked wonderfully.
So, for those who may not have realized it (and, yeah, all the little notes about "posted on mobile device" weren't enough to clue me in lol), there you go...

I had no idea. I use the web version on my phone.

Keep in mind that when on mobile, at the very bottom of the page is a link that will either "Switch to the Mobile Version" or "Switch to the Desktop Version". So, on mobile, you can go between the two interfaces if you wish.

All I see at the bottom are “desktop” and “dashboard” links, which don’t do anything useful. Where exactly are your “switch to…” links, porkini?

The Dashboard option is way different, you may have to reauthenticate (sign in) and if you try to go back to the Mobile version from the Dashboard, it tries to get you to download Tapatalk (which I've never been a fan of).
However, when in the Mobile version, try the Desktop link (may take 5-10 seconds to trigger the change), and then when in Desktop mode at the very bottom is the "switch to Mobile" link.
Androld phone btw.

On my iPhone I've been using the Tapatalk App for a few years now. You can add MNKD.proboards.com. The App works great for message boards, try it, simple and free. I think it's better than using a browser on your phone. There are some ads, but nothing you can't scroll past and there are none once you're in a thread.

I did try to use that (after the PB-specific app turned into a pumpkin) but was underwhelmed for some reason. I’d suggest trying the board directly on the phone (I do it from Firefox) and comparing, you might like the mobile browser functionality better. Or not; YMMV.

Personally, I prefer the App. Native to the phone, all finger swipes.

Just your normal username/password. I like the font and size of the text much better, easier for me to read from the App.

I like the font and size of the text much better, easier for me to read from the App. Mobile applications typically ask for many permissions for access to data and other elements on a device. I'm not sure it is even possible to have a mobile application that doesn't require permissions and only has a simple user-id/password combination for access.
