“I sure hope he is not doing this virtually. MNKD needs to press the flesh and buy some drinks at the bar.” I’m a little concerned that with a presentation at 5:15 pm on a Friday afternoon in Florence, Italy, a lot of attendees will already be in the bar. That’s my experience of conferences, at least. Good point - they need to bring an open bar into the conference room where they are presenting.

Those are great because the audience mood is improved and interaction is enhanced (because of a reduction in inhibitions).

Assuming Irl is presenting the most important presentation since the ADCOM, spend the $10k and advertise snacks and open bar and put the bar in the back of the conference room and pack the room. If they don't remember what Irl said hopefully they will remember MNKD and those great pigs in a blanket. They don't want to do what Trump did Tuesday night and have a cash bar. Mike needs to be in the back as the guests come in meeting and greeting and pointing people to the bar. After the presentation they already have the bar for a little meet and greet after party.

For too many years since the Adcom MNKD has been nothing but a huge disappointment. We have not had much to get excited about. This is probably the biggest presentation since Adcom. That day it was standing room only. I want Irl to get the same applause afrezza got on the final 14 -0 vote to recommend T2 approval. Now this is Florence Italy and happy hour usually starts about 7pm. Irl should be wrapping up a little before that but it has to be 5 o'clock somewhere so I am sure no one will complain if they can get their wine a little early and shake Irl and Mike's hand.

If they observe the afternoon siesta everyone will be rested up for the big event.

Looking at the upside in all this, it will be 11:15am East Coast time. If the presentation goes well and the news is good news, we will get to see the market reaction right away.

Looking forward to hearing the first results of the INHALE-3 study more than seeing the market react. Both would be perfectly fine.

Could the exuberance over ATTD be driving the share price. I'm doing some position trimming just in case the buying is on the assumption of something that doesn't get delivered tomorrow. A standard meal challenge setting just doesn't seem like something that is going to move the needle on perception like some here seem to think. Seems like it will simply show the same prandial pk/pd profile that has already been published. Though I eagerly await results, and will be thrilled if share price continues up.

I agree it's possible the ATTD meeting could be helping to continue the volume that came in after last week's earnings call, but I'm still curious whether the consortium of investors that hold the $230M of convertible bonds might be covering their hedge positions (that I assume they have).

Being a severely undervalued stock that has been trading in an inefficient market for years could have something to do with the share price trading the way it is. Looking at ~$60M in revs per quarter and seemingly with much more potential to grow this year might just be too appetizing to ignore any more.

The INHALE-3 study is much more than "a standard meal challenge". It could show using Afrezza with a basal produces better results than the current standard of care. Even if the results are "not inferior", plenty of diabetics would prefer this option over a pump. The guess is very good results were anticipated and will be announced, otherwise, why study and why present?

IMO, it's also important to recognize this is a global conference with potential global significance. It will be interesting to learn by Monday afternoon if the current price movement was anticipation or insider knowledge.

It may be wrong to think this, but I HOPE it's the latter.

The guess is very good results were anticipated and will be announced, otherwise, why study and why present? The overall Inhale-3 study is much more, but isn't what is being presented at ATTD merely the first meal results for each patient based on a "standard meal challenge" (i.e. each patient eating the same well portioned meal in a clinical setting)? If that standard meal is exactly matched (amount of carbs and fats) to the pk/pd profile of Afrezza then I'd expect great results... relatively flat glucose readings. Just doesn't seem like doctors will get too excited about results from an in clinic meal challenge rather than the final results of Inhale-3 which will show how it works in people's real lives eating what they really eat.
