Actually, Martin applied for the job and even tried to bribe me with this recording he said was "One of a kind" (yeah, right) and we told him to hit the road.

Interesting choice. Hope I don't have to unblock him. You won’t have to …he can see you now.

sports, I think that was about her seeing him. I always forget it’s different on here, because I never block anyone on here. Other places if you block someone they can’t see you and you can’t see them.

Perhaps it's time that discussion boards use AI so that if one blocks someone, the person doing the blocking sees AI generated replacements that reinforce their views on everything. It would be very self validating for everyone

Perhaps it's time that discussion boards use AI so that if one blocks someone, the person doing the blocking sees AI generated replacements that reinforce their views on everything. It would be very self validating for everyone I don't read ProBoards to validate my investment thesis. I've done my due diligence. If this board drives your investing strategies, that's on you. I read this board because I'm interested in others' perspectives and occasionally I see news items I missed. If people's posts are consistently non-value-added or if I think they have an agenda, then I block them. It's not personal or nefarious. It's a time-saving tool. Good luck.

I recall vividly during my first year or two participating in financial boards (we're talking 90's), anyone whose points ran counter to the rah rah tenor of that particular board must have "had an agenda" blah blah blah.
Sometimes, people just have personalities we'd personally prefer not to suffer. I doubt there's often much more of an "agenda" than that lol.

Personalities are on places like Facebook, which can be bad enough at times and those folks are typically, relatives & friends. I do not think stock message board posts have much to do w/personalities. Folks usually do things for a reason - seems on stock boards that reason would be the almighty dollar.

I don't think I'd have been involved with these boards if it weren't for the personalities of the other members. Personalities, experience they're willing to share, insights, opinions, humor, friendships, ... I think some stock message boards have a lot to do with personalities.
We all want to make money on our speculating/trading/investing, but that does not mean we have "an agenda" beyond sharing resources with each other... all in the interest of making effective financial decisions.
